Aliens also one of my favorites. Alien 3 easily my least favorite movie of all time.

-They kill off all the characters from aliens except sigourney weaver before any dialogue (no joke, one of the characters from aliens was awarded money because his character was killed off, he wasn't in the movie at all)
-The special effects are complete ass compared to those from aliens which was made 6 years earlier
-The plot makes pretty much zero sense. We're supposed to just accept that a handful of facehuggers got on the ship from aliens? How does this happen?
-The prison has no weapons. What? It's a prison. It has to have something.

Also I wouldn't hate it so much if I didn't like aliens so much. It isn't that awful, but it completely ruined the series.

The original people never came back for the sequels (except Ripley).. there was just wasn't any room for that girl and dude in part 3 and they handled it accordingly i thought.

The effects I agree could have been better but they weren't that bad

I don't understand what you are saying in point 3

They explain why they don't have any weapons.. there isn't anywhere for anyone to run it's a deserted planet

Edit: Oh I get what you are saying in point 3 now.. a 'handful' didn't get on it was only one ..

I think my biggest issue with Alien 3 is basically the whole set up of the movie. I'm going to assume that you're saying there was no room for Hicks, newt and Bishop for the movie that was released. My gripe is, that shouldn't have been the movie that was released. A completely different screenplay should have been written that fit in with the previous movie better and at the same time keeping the characters from aliens that survived.

The whole beginning feels completely slapped together and disconnected from Aliens. The entire plot is based on there being an alien stowed on board the sulaco, that implants a queen embryo into ripley and everyone else is dead. It seems like the writers got the idea for the main plot of Alien 3, then completely botched the setup of the movie trying to make the previous one fit with it.

To end though, I don't think any amount of arguing could ever convince me to like this movie and I'm sure its the same from your perspective so I'll just leave it at that.

Edit: Saw your edit. More than one had to have got on the ship, since there is a queen alien in ripley and one attaches to the dog.

They were trying to end the series with that one and no one will ever be able to end a epic franchise like that with everyone happy.

I don't know what the fuck with Alien Resurrection. If anyone says that one is better than 3 should be shot. I still like 3 the best tho

Edit: You are right about them being 2 Aliens ..my bad

Army of Darkness. I know Evil Dead 2 was mentioned but I still prefer Army of Darkness over the previous 2.
Jason Goes to Hell is my favorite Friday the 13th movie.
    Mad Max 2

Just read this whole thread and the whole time I was thinking I'd have to say Army of Darkness if nobody else does.

Sister Act 2 was sooooo much better than the 1st. Whatever happened to Lauryn Hill? =/ As mentioned earlier, Terminator 2 was way better than the original! :D

What about prequel movies? I'm not a Star Wars fan, didn't find them as exciting as most people (found them pretty meh) but out of the 4 I've seen (IV,V,VI & I) I think the prequel (I) was pretty good (No idea why the die-hard fans rage so much at JarJar) compared to the older films. Despite this they still all suck though. =/

We die-hards rage because Lucas stopped making films and starting making movies for his kids.
