Ya notice how I said "unsportsmanlike". The truth is, though, that assuming you want to win doing whatever it takes, with no regards for sportsmanship, then yeah, taunting an enemy is a "ligitimate" tactic, bacause sometimes it just plain works.

While there are degrees of it, calling someone the N-word or a Terrorist or a Stupid Fag is FUNCTIONALLY equivalent to dancing on their midfield logo or simply yelling "Wooooo" in their face. They're not morally equal, and each has differing odds on whether or not it will work, but all serve the purpose of doing one or more of the following:

A) deflate morale
B) break concentration
C) inspire rage/hate to cause premature decisionmaking


Also note that I said I felt that it was the least likely reson someone is yelling obscenities on voice chat. Racists/Sexists/Etc and 12yr old douchetards will always be the majority.

Interestingly, most insults are directed at anything but white heterosexual men. There are plenty of insults for women, blacks, asians, hispanics, gays, lesbians, and yet there are few if not none for white heterosexual men.

Maybe it is because they almost never get viewed as victims.

I've never had the urge to call someone a nigger in anger, I just don't see how it's supposed to be an insult. at least fag has some personal connotation for me so the emotional drive to use it in an angry manner is present. but nigger?
