My book on logical fallacies calls people like that 'Skilled Manipulators (weak-sense critical thinkers)'

Well they don't seem to use fallacies as a strategy to manipulate. Let me see if i can characterize them properly: they seem to have this sense that they've reached intellectual nirvana without ever really discussing the specifics of any issue. No professional or nuanced knowledge of an issue, but an insistence that they can make the right decisions based on some form of intuition which hey consider rational. It is almost of lazy form of intellectualism.

They take an issue with two sides without checking if there are more than two sides or if any of the two sides are even right at all. They often speak of their positions as pragmatic or realistic but they rarely say why.

Often their positions are so intellectually dishonest that you can't help and become angry because you have to make a really long post about how their obfuscating an issue.
