Was referring to the additional 4-hour window the last couple tests had:
...an additional 4-hour window has been added to the eighth FINAL FANTASY XIV Alpha Test. From the older announcements....an additional 4-hour window has been added to the seventh FINAL FANTASY XIV Alpha Test.
Doesn't appear to be an extra 4-hour window this time, for the ninth test, it seems.
Oh, they did? That's interesting.
At what time was it?
The four hour windows were additional tests on different days, but they just called them the same test. They weren't announced until after the initial test, so this test might still have additional four hour windows added to it.
If that's true, then this might be the last Alpha 1 test.
Which would make sense.
Thursday would start the "First Alpha 2 test"?
If they decide to differentiate them somehow..
That would make sense considering, that I'm aware of, there weren't any invites sent saying the forum will be open at a later date than June 2nd. All the new people they invited this round will be on board with the testing site and should be ready to go by Thursday, unless SE wants people to hang out for a few more days before they start the next phase. I was kinda expecting them to make a public announcement first, but they don't really have to since this is all supposed to be confidential information anyway.
Ah, I've been busy the last couple of weeks and so haven't really been involved in testing much. Didn't realize they went from the old "sunday is fourth test, tuesday is fifth test, thursday is sixth test" to "sunday is seventh test, tuesday is an extension of the seventh test, and thursday is yet another extension of the seventh test."
Quick question for those who are not in the Alpha but are getting SE updates via email. What email service are you using? I have an yahoo account and have not received any FFXIV updates or news letters since March pretty much.
So what I'm asking is, is anyone having the same kind of problem here or is it just me? Should I go update my SE account with a new non-yahoo email? Help me out lol.
This seemed like the best place to ask, forgive me if its not.
I use Yahoo and I get the tester emails, but never the newsletter.
I've gotten nothing from them for months. Guess SE just avoiding me or something. Thanks for replying, at least I know its nothing related to yahoo based accounts. I just must be unlucky.
I've registered for the ps3 beta only, maybe that has something to do with why I'm not getting any updates from SE since March lol. Hopefully when the beta2 phase nears, I'll get something then.
I use gmail and I have got ever goddamn cocktease newsletter or notice about other games.
lol, at lest you get something. Are you registered for the PC beta or both PC and PS3?
Anyway, maybe I should update my SE account and use a gmail email account instead since yahoo users seem to be ignored by SE for some reason.
I am signed up for PC on my main account and I created a separate account to sign up for PS3 using the FF13 code. I would also recommend changing to gmail because it is just awesome.
*note* I have only been receiving emails on my main email that is signed up for PC Beta, I have got nothing from SE on my PS3 account.
Hmm, I've only applied for the PS3 beta which was at March, when FFXIII came out, using the code that came with it. I suppose it makes sense that I have not received any notice from SE since then because the PS3 beta is still far off.
Anyone else here apply for the PS3 beta only and have receive any news from SE since March?
Nobody that sighned up for the PS3 beta with the FFXIII code is going to receive anything from Square Enix until they start sending out the PS3 beta invites. You'll just probably have a higher chance of getting invited during that time which is going to be beta phase 2. Don't worry, Square Enix has your application still. Even if something happens to the notification Email that tells you that you've been invited to be a beta tester, you can still check by logging in here: https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...n?cont=account and then click on the "Confirm Membership Status" or was it the "Confirm Service History".
Has anyone who applied for the PC beta, without a POL ID attached, not received *anything* from SE since? Not even a confirmation e-mail?
You can't apply without a POL id as activation is done via your account ( no codes/etc to apply ).
