I just realized this, but from the sound of it, it's going to work like the alpha...I hope the new schedule wont be as strict.Details regarding the precise dates and times of the upcoming beta tests will be announced in the near future.
Hmm, iirc, they mentioned that they'll test the server stability first before making them run 24/7.
Probably a test or two on a 4 hour schedule, then a 24/7 test and if all is stable more invites will start coming out. Also, I think our next test might be on the 4th since 2 days after the alpha download was up, testing started.
Beta Test Client Download Postponed
Installation client for FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version is scheduled to become available for download starting at approximately 1:00(PDT) on Friday, July 2, 2010. However due to technical difficulties, the release will be postponed. New schedule will be posted as soon as the issue is resolved.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Beta website, top post.
Not like it matter, unless you're on a 56kbps or something.
Nothing on the EU forums either
Well this is lame, stayed up for nothing.
Still nothing on the EU forums about a delay.....
NM, was posted 6 seconds ago.
/sigh
Based on the last time they had issues with getting the client out, usually was a week or so before it was made available.
Stayed up for nothing either way, they said the download would be available not that the game itself would be...
That's how I interpretted my email too. I considered staying up or waking up early but I felt it would be pointless. I didn't think starting a trickling download a couple hours early was worth the lost sleep. Plus, I was anticipating the actual gaming servers being down, as there was no mention of actual testing.
Beta client available now.
