The game patch or the updater patch? Mine is much slower than usual but I've always been at 1.1MB/s.

In other news, I fixed the installer so the link is back up..etc. :3

They're using bittorrent for their patcher, but w/ 54 seeds and 2.5k downloaders......

Run the .torrent file in something like uTorrent instead of their client. I just finished DLing the patch and I was getting about 1.2-1.6 mb/s the majority of the time.

The main issue is with their patcher. It assumes everyone has unlimited internet and doesn't cap uploads, so if I use the official patcher it uploads at around 150 - 200kbs and downloads at 6kbs.

Using a torrent program gets me 150kbs download and about 75kbs upload. If I have to use a 3rd party program to force the patcher to limit my upload so it downloads in under 2 weeks then I'm just going to use a different program altogether.

the beta download is going SLOOOOW and when its not in focus on my desktop its going from 0kb/sec to around 10kb/sec GAAAAY I want to play mass effect, what can I do to make it download smooth?
I just changed some router settings to port forward the ports listed below in this post.
I also keep hearing about a torrent option but how do I find the beta download torrent link?

Well I have tried everything to get it to download faster I have a 50 mb connection, and have never had problems with other P2P programs WoW installer included.

Oddly I can't find the .torrent file in the installation folder :S
