    Got it work by reinstalling and placing file in the folder right off the bat.

    All of you are lucky, I can't get past "FFXIV Beta version has stopped working" before the program even opens.

    Same damn thing happened with the benchmark. Guess I'm not playing FFXIV ever, oh well. Saves me money.

    I am guessing some important program/files are not in place. reinstall stuff like directx, drivers and other stuff. Unless you have a total crap computer or a serious hardware malfunction it should work... probably....

    Well the Alpha worked, I know that much. I'm wondering what could possibly be wrong. Possibly DirectX since I just installed Left4Dead which came with its own version.

    I'll see what's up, thanks for the advice.

    Alot of people with issues on the EU forums have been able to get it working by updating thier GPU drivers.

    Can you only set up multiple monitors like that if they all happen to be the same physical size? Or must you have 3+ monitors? I only have two and i can't see any resolution options on my ffxivconfig to support that...

    They said at E3 multiple displays and 3D are still in development.

    Gateway md2614u
    2.1 GHz Dual-core AMD Turion x2 64
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64
    4 GB 666Mhz RAM
    512MB ATi Radeon HD3200 (up to 2gb from shared RAM, which I haven't discovered how to allocate via BIOS)

    Your system is only barely over the min specs, so I'd imagine that isn't helping.

    It should still run though I would have thought. If you have all the latest drivers and enough space on your HDD, I don't know sorry.

    The graphics card is way below minimum specs in your system. An integrated 3200 will not run this game.

    Its not barely over, its way under. Remeber that ATI cards have odd numbering. 4870>3850>2900>5450>3200

    My bad, I looked at the min specs and saw 2600 and assuming a 3200 was better. Don't know much about ATI numbering sorry.

    I feel stupid for purchasing a laptop like this. I bought it back when I had a lot of money, and just wanted a way to use the internet and media. Little did I know, my lack of interest in games wouldn't last long.

    Now I can't afford to buy a real gaming computer! lol

    I have three identical monitors but Eyefinity recognizes it as a single screen. That's why it only has DISPLAY1 on the top. I don't know anything about different sized screens since that would look pretty stupid.

    there is a monitor option for single, double..etc
    anyone know what this does? nevermind its a buffering thing.

    also, I have 2 monitors, one PC monitor one samsung 22" tv with great inputs. anyway the samung has 16:10 aspect ratio, and when I goto Betaconfig I can only go up to max res of 1680x1050, which is max res of the samsung, but my main PC monitor has a higher res (1950x1080 16:9)
    does anyone know how I can set FFXIVbeta to recognize the 16:9 aspect to increase the screen res to my main monitor?
