^ that's so pathetic
Can someone PM me a link to the .torrent file?I don't want to get screwed over with a fake/infected one from google searching.
So then hy do u want the client install? It's against the nda to post it, but there is a way to get it if u paid close attention to some of the posters
Yea that's why I asked for a PM. Thought I could snatch it quickly and help with seeding, but oh well don't care that much.
.dat mining yet? Wonder if they added/changed anything
I already solved this problem yesterday by using utorrent. My complaint was people saying anyone who is unable to download through the official patcher quickly needs to LOL LEARN TO P2P NOOB! Also my upload cap is more like 80-90kb. If I'm using a Roadrunner Turbo, which is already faster than a lot of other cable services, I know other people must run into this problem too. So this isn't an issue of not knowing how to P2P, it's an issue of these companies not allowing you to throttle your upload to prevent this from happening.
Us average joes who can't into programming can use the benchmark as a model viewer to see everything just as before. How to do that is apparently taboo to talk about now but you should be able to figure it out if you really want to.
The models don't always load properly but you can get a general idea of what's all included in the game so far. There doesn't appear to be any new monsters added from alpha to what we currently have in beta. I never checked the weapons folder in alpha so I can't judge that. S-E saying that we should make room for 15GB for beta (compared to the 3GB we have now) possibly means more areas will be opened up later during beta.
There are 9 shield models in the beta and the lantern shield model looks fuckawesome. I think I can say that much without the NDA hawks calling for my head. If not, well, delete this post.![]()
Anyone else getting a wrong account info error when they try to login?
I got in no problem
Is there any chance of SE slightly lowering the spec requirements to run this game come retail time? I know the beta requirements are high, but won't they optimize it somewhat once retail rolls around? Basically I'm right on the fence of not being able to play this game and I'll be pissed if I can't just because I missed the mark barely.
So much for keeping this thread clean. Everytime someone posts something (oh hey look, I'm guilty now too.. thanks), I get my hopes up for nothing.
I would be surprised if there was a difference between the beta and retail version. Even if it's optimized, it's not like you will magically start running it with half the cpu. It's not impossible they revise the numbers, but if your pc can't run it now, don't expect to be able to run it later.
Wait a few more days to see how well the beta run on low end pc, and you will get your answer.
I posted the current requirements two pages back and in that quote there was also something regarding this.
*The following system requirements are specific to the FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version. As our development team continues its optimization of the software, these requirements may change.
Any idea what this is referring to? This is the first time I've ever heard of it; sounds like virtualization, which sounds like massive performance hit.Originally Posted by System Requirements
