Celeras, are the JP's talking anything about the server stability?
I was talking about this last night with a friend and we are blaming WoW for this. Blizzard opened up their forums and regularly ask for input from their players. They basically try to get as much input from their players as possible... which has trained people into thinking their opinions on crap that wasn't ask about matters right now.
Yep, I'm sure video games invented this kind of behaviour.
Nothing outside mentions of occasional R0.
that IS my point really. Japanese people are generally very conservative and almost never criticize, because its considered rude, even if constructive. While it may not be the best way of doing things in submitting bug reports, they're more likely the kind of people who will only submit a report once they know for sure that they're submitting something relevant and meaningful. Through this, you do get more quality reports probably.. but still far less vocal testers.
The NA side is the opposite of the spectrum really. A lot of people don't bother to read instructions and notices, i swear. You have idiots shouting "OMG how do I fight?" or just shouting in general trying to get simple things done are an example of this. Being a more pluralistic people, you have different kinds of players who all tend to be more vocal because they want to be heard. Its not necessarily bad, but among the numerous reports submitted, a bulk of them may not have any technical value. It does however give a broader perspective, for which the devs do make use of.
as far as i can tell, it seems i missed out 4 mobs out of all the mobs one might find..
that being bomb, ahriman, spriggan and sabotender. never came across the first 3 and the last one didn't get a clear shot of.
that said, quite a good number of mob families seen in alpha already.
So it sounds like things from the JPN side have improved. Is this correct?
admin: Removed as per NDA
I think some of the point is being missed in regards to feedback from testers. They are doing the alpha to get feedback that their devs wouldn't necessarily see, so no matter how inane it seems, it could be considered constructive. If something isn't quite as intuitive as it should be, it will be reflected even in a rather idiotic report. It could be taken as something that has to be reinforced and fleshed out in the tutorial. All I'm trying to say is, there can be information gleaned from any and all feedback. SE has said in a recent interview that no matter how minor or insignificant it may seem to us, it's likely something their people wouldn't pick up on or could use to improve the game.
You are basing this off of what evidence? The interview only said the Japanese weren't (as) scathing in their feedback.
I can't link photos, but the 2ch actually has a number of new mobs. I saw a Raving Hyena, a Giant Crab, Elder "Garago" (not sure how this translates, but they look like the monkeys in Kazham, and a Chigo-.
There's also a photo of a lalafell shielding against a coburan.
[e] Someone else rehost and link them, I'll edit these links out later:

^ All of those have been posted before, which is why I didn't.
Anyway, no Battle Regimen video. Hope someone from NA comes through, bbl.
