Supposedly Poison, Bio and Dia stack (and is quite deadly) but you don't get XP from killing something with dots only.

Yea they all belong to Thaumaturge I believe.
Dunno if mentioned but they seemed to add few more mobs this round (or last, wasn't in that one). I set homepoint to all the way at the top of map and there are some Peiste, Boar and Slug there now.
I completely understand where your coming from, but at the end of the day the skills may be named a particular thing, but its not too much of a stretch of the imagination to see them used with other weapons.
For example, the definition of Haymaker is literally "a powerful blow". Just because we associate it with a punch doesn't limit it to not being able to be used with a staff or a blade.
Red Lotus Blade says "Call upon the power of flame, increasing attack power and dealing fire damage."
If you consider it as the ability to imbue your weapon with the power of "Red Lotus", then what difference does it make what weapon your using?
EDIT: It seems the Haymaker definition varies from dictionary to dictionary. Some say "a powerful blow" and some say "a powerful blow with a fist". Regardless, I think you just need to consider it in terms of a "type" or attack rather than a literal thing. It could very well be errors in translation that make us think of specific weapons anyway.
They have probably not finished tweaking the system to borrow skills, are we 100% sure that non blade users can equip red lotus blade, perhaps its requires a slashing type weapon.

I was pulling hate also when the mob was real low HP. I got like 1k per kill though with the higher level person.
I agree, seems a bit odd for the mob to go after the weakest link, perhaps its kind of realistic in some ways, but if that turns out to be the case, mages are going to be the main target of hate, best give them plate armour and a shield![]()
Is really odd for the mob to go after the person that just missed a hit, after all, its less of a thread if it cant even land a hit. So ill go with the its a bug train more than an intended enmity mechanic.
Lol, if someone shoots a bullet at you and misses, do you assume the next will also and keep doing what you were doing?
edit:inb4 lolapplyingrealism. Just saying.
If enmity worked like that Gladiators would only have to focus on Attack speed to get hate. What you are saying is that a missing hit is the same enmity than a missed hit, which is at the end of the day, a broken mechanic because we will be seeing all Gladiators going Attack speed to get more swings for more hate.

I think you need to expand your thinking - by quite a bit. Just because it's called 'Red lotus blade' hardly means it's exclusive to a bladed weapon, remove blade and you have the basic 'red lotus' which could as someone said earlier be the act of placing the 'red lotus' effect on your weapon. It's traditionally used with bladed weapons - but what is to say that you couldn't do it with a blunt weapon? The majority can be seen as being 'cross weapon', while their are some exceptions - such as a ranged weapons skill with an arrow is a little hard to replicate with a staff, or a shield blockage type ws being hard to replicate with a bow. They could quite easily make weapon specific and cross weapon class ws's(already exists in XI in some regard). TL;DR stop focusing on the name of something - and look at the description or 'lore' of it.I don't have a problem with weaponskills being transferable, but it makes no sense to be able to use Haymaker if you're not equipped with a hand-2-hand weapon (or Red Lotus Blade when you are wielding a staff).
It doesn't matter if game is new old or w/e. They all work the same way. You have to do dmg, or an enmity generator ability to get aggro. Plain and simple. Aggro for missing a hit? or missing an aggro gen ability? So if i just stand there and do nothing i get aggro? which works the same way as if i missed an attack? sigh... shame on you...
