The articles are filled with misinformation. One says "80 gig", while the phone back says XXgig. One says front facing camera, other shows none. No 5mega pixel camera on back.. Glass back instead of protective iphone shell. Doesnt even look follow button setup. And its funny that it "stopped working" mysteriously before they could get more information.

Real or not I like the design a lot. I hope to hell it's real, at least the flush, squared design part of it. Nothing quite like seeing that stupid fucking hairline-to-not-so-hairline crack coming out the bottom of every iphone I've ever seen because the plastic backing is curved and doesn't handle the pressure of, say, standing upright in a dock or getting pressed into a backpack against any amount of weight.

They pulled the thing apart. If you read both stories, they had the original finder of the phone who was able to access the OS before it was remotely disabled by apple. Xcode/iTunes/System Profilier recognize the device as an iPhone, and even has the same etching on the back, with a different device ID. Even apple branded internals, from companies seen making parts for the 3G/3GS.

Video Phone feature HAS to be in the plans, They have the technology for it but have just been milking the iphone for money until they announce it. Being able to video chat with other iphone users would be hueg.

video chat APIs have already been found in the OS4, so expect this to be a standard feature.

I got the feeling that this might be a really slick PR move by Apple. Just too weird that everything went down the way it did.
