Latency/Ping went up, what to do?

So over the weekend I noticed my Latency/Ping jumpped up. I went from <100 in wow to 250-300constant, I went from <150 in Battlefield to 600+ on those same servers.

What are ways to counter this at least somewhat on my end? I know it's most likely a comcast problem, since I'm hardwired to my router, and since they just overcharged us this month by like 100$. We are planning a date for the verizon fios install so that should help, but until then, are there any commands or changes I can make anywhere?

Google pings for average 20ms, BG pings for 47ms, bestbuy for 54ms.

    Speedtest still shows me at:

Note: this is with games and all programs running. Seems to be mostly a game related issue, think ports are forwarded, so idk even anymore. I'm thinking about just reformatting cause it's pissing me off. Downloading a new copy of NOD32 now for me and sister just incase.

Probably network related issues outside of your power. Do the standard powercycle, and then you can possibly look at some registry hacks for fixing your WoW latency.

Yeah I've done all that for wow in the past. Looking for other temp or trial/error fixed as well.

Not much you'll be able to do other than to call comcast and ask if there's any maintenance or service outages in your area. Happens with TWC on occasion, but it's not that big of a deal. Should be gone by the end of the week.

I know what you mean. I play on a west-coast server, but I average 20-50ms ping with TWC since I live in dallas and we pipe through directly to seattle. Shit's cash, but when it breaks down, boom fuck this shit.

I can't wait to switch to fios, and I think comcast knows it so they are punishing me. Although, if they wanted me to stay they'd give me a week or 2 of 50meg service at no charge, instead of overcharging my account by double and slowing me down.

    Fuck you comcast.

Ok so Fios was installed today, me and sister are both hardwired (still). My MS is still up around 265 for over a week now, she is sitting on the same connection down the hall at 72ms.

Should I just reformat? I mean, what the fuck lol.
