Just got released last Friday and it's been on repeat ever since.

Release next month but it just leaked yesterday. Much more laid back than a lot of their older stuff.

i don't hate drake but i don't particularly like him. his music/rhyming pattern is easy to listen to and he offers up some good laughs here and there.

i guess you can call him the fast food of rap. you can go to him for a quick bite, but he's yet to offer anything of substance (like a real album) to sink my teeth into.

and wayne and i have a love hate relationship. he went HARD on no ceilings, but i hated everything he's dropped since drought 3.

Long post of rap/hip-hop albums and no mention of Drake?

This year was supposed to be Drake's year, but he dropped the ball and should have released an album last year. His new single Over ain't bad. However B.o.B has come out of no where and is gonna have hip-hop album of the year. Airplanes Part 2 with Eminem is just fire. Em again drops a verse and murders everyone on the track. He did it last year with Forever. B.o.B is on T.I.'s label grand hustle and he's also out of prison. 2 of the years best albums on the same label. Damn.

On a completly different tip. Stanton Warriors are rumored to be dropping an album. Last year they dropped some of the best singles from the nu-skool breaks genre.

Yeah pretty much how I feel about Drake. He does well on a few songs but he's just gonna continue to put out mediocre crap on Young Money and get paid and not try to get better.

G.O.O.D Music is probably my favorite label, with Grand hustle close behind. Vagus, T.I. rips it on Bet I by B.o.B ft T.I. and Playboy Tre.

Oh god, I'm glad you posted that cause I haven't kept up with what Dane has been doing lately and I thought he was off doing his own project. Ihsahn's After was pretty good, I never thought I'd hear sax on an album like that. That's actually the only album I've bought new in probably the last 10 years. Artwork on the insert was kinda lame though.

Fair enough. It's just a lot of people I know who know nothing of good music haven't the slightest clue who Lupe Fiasco is. But they can name every asshole in Young Money. I know I'm gonna sound like I'm backpedaling, but I really picture Mainstream as more of a genre rather than "who everyone knows."
