The only unusual thing was that it was the same fight derock described, changed from dancing tail to chaos blast with nobody standing in front of it.

This happened 1 time to us very early on before we were killing as smoothly. I thought I must have lost hate for a split sec turned 90 degrees to mages or rng and used it and then back to me but i was the only one hit and it never budged so def good to hear someone else had this.

Wasn't there a theory that an HQ version of this NM(With the same name) could pop and that one had access to meteor? Or was that theory debunked?

I've seen the 50k HP Yilbegans use Meteor, so I'd consider that debunked~ We haven't seen a 100k one yet, and haven't seen a ring either. *shrug

I was unaware of the hp difference, can someone point me to where it was discussed? It has pretty strong auto regen, are you guys sure the ones who took 100k didn't just kill slower?

Every Yilbegan has parsed ~50k for me (accounting for regen.) A few ppl from the VNM thread mentioned stronger versions which had nearly double the HP, but I've yet to encounter one~

All of our killed are 48k-50k depending on the speed of our kill (15-20min). like ya say high regen, i'd say 40k base on all of them that we have encountered.

So happy, first 2 Yilbegans depopped on us 2 weeks ago. VNM group kept at it, read up on forums, learned where we messed up.

Today, Killed it twice, first kill 25minutes, 2nd kill 20minutes 13seconds.

Only decent items was the cloth on both and no title but....

When it went on it's Meteor tirade we pretty much had to stop damage altogether for a while. It still kept spamming Meteor until it had regened close to 30% HP.

I seriously think Yilbegan can be killed rather easily with 6 people. I hope this isn't the difficulty SE wishes for the Abyssea HNM's to have...

Already debunked the theory of HQ = Ring = Title etc with Krabkatoa.

Got title without ring, and also had ring drop without getting title, both on noticeably easier + harder versions.

If you tank it from behind, it won't use meteor.

Someone also mentioned Yilbegan used WS other than DS and DT but were you dodging DT? When you dodge DT, you have to be careful not to run past it's hind leg. Other wise it'll use breakga, meteor, and all the other nasty stuff.

My group has Aegis PLD and Gjallhorn BRD, BLU RNG WHM RDM. So only 2 relics. Either way, I found him to be just as easy as the T3's, only slightly slower to kill due to the damage flux.

Not true, I've seen him use Meteor when tanked from behind. It hit the PLD for 160 damage... lol

Fealty? It did over 1000 on everyone it hit on us, with shell and stoneskin on most.

I've personally had it use meteor on me from right behind it.

Did you have one or two tank? Any chance of someone getting hate?

I've personally fought it 4 or 5 times solo tanking it from behind and i have never seen it use meteor. The only times it used enfeeble-ga was when I ran towards him instead of sideways when dodging DT.

Just to make sure, its not like only the HQ version use meteor right?

It can definately meteor from behind. Last time i fought it it was meteor spammy and we had 2 tanks @ back.

Don't remember, maybe He was the only one that got hit by it. I thought it was kind of fun, first Yilbegan that used Meteor, so I had prepared with a Cure V to go off soon as he got hit. Even a Cure III would have been overdoing it, lol
