    Happy Captain Planet Day (Earth Day)

    Woo there was a marathon of Captain Planet last week, nostalgia rush... deeper than I remembered as a kid not to mention the things being done in the show has progressed only so little to this day.

    Curious as to if anyone here actually does anything on this day specifically? Just more self-concious for a day regarding where they put their trash? Or purposely litter just for kicks? XD Kind of wish I could do something if even it was minor though

    Edit: Eh, felt obliged to at least throw out the intro and the robot chicken one. Wheeler was always bad ass

    Disney stores are taking 6 empty water bottles / cans [beer cans too but they don't advertise that] and you get a free recycled hat. I'm not working today but going to take my 6 in and get my spiffy hat. Donations go to the coral reef btw.

    Fuck turning my computer off, but I did switch to CFL bulbs so I'm good.

    (Although I've been using them for years because 100w (pure white) light is awesome, the energy savings and low heat emissions are just a nice touch (also before ignorant QQ'ing, the "100w" bulbs use about 30watts.))

    Awesome thanks for this info just got back with my hat. I heard somewhere they were made 100% from recycled plastic bottles? Not sure how that is possible but...

    Felt pretty cool to do something on an Earth Day for once even though I was going to recycle those plastic bottles anyway lol
