Anyone experience this error code atm? i DC'd about an hour ago, been getting this error ever since.

Just curious if its a problem on my end, or theirs.

same, what internet provider/country are you from?

Optimum Online, NY area. If I remember correctly a good number of the affected people last week were on this ISP with some scattered AT&Ts in the midwest/west coast and the occasional European player.

Optimum online, NY. I got logged into Playonline finally, but I hit play for FFXI and it gets stuck on "checking FFXI version" then network error.

My PL got dc'd and can't log it back in, yet my main which I logged in like 5mins before my PL like 5 hours ago is still online. Contacted a GM about it 20mins ago, naturally he knew of no issues regarding logging into POL. Yes, I was a shocked as you.

We had this happen to two of our members last night. Especially unwelcome since they were one third of our Temenos West party at the time. One of them disappeared for good, the other was at R0 or gone for half the run. THF tank + RDM nuking turned out to be surprisingly effective.

It's affecting VirginMedia in the UK, they run through Level3 if memory serves me correctly.

I doubt it's DDoS, because that would affect everyone trying to connect if they are going through the same POL auth server (unless they too are farmed over different tier 1 uplinks).

Maybe it's just a routing hub that's gone kaput and we're being funneled through Cogent (who suck) ;D
