Win7 hangs forever at Finalizing settings

As title says, It just sits there for hours, I'm installing via USB onto a netbook, it meets 7's requirements, it's done this about 3 times now, not sure whats going on, and yes i've restarted it

derp, was going to mention that the only thing that cleared this up for me during an install was installing via USB, but since you're already doing that, I can't really think of what else would cause that.

Probably unrelated, but on my new super beefy gaming rig, installing windows 7 took FOREVER.

It was like it didn't like my USB cdrom drive (internal wasn't in yet) or my SSD, but it took 2-3 hours to fully install Win7.

Disabling floppy drive in bios might fix that. Dunno why exactly it causes the slowdown, however disabling it seems to fix that issue. Had the same problem

Yeah, installing 7 takes quite a bit longer then all other OSs. That hanging screen for the 7 installation...it takes my rig something like 20min to get through. For that one step. I imagine with a netbook, it could take a lot longer.

I tried that, but I was new to the BIOS so maybe I missed something. It runs like a dream now
