    Mouse Problem

I've asked this before with no response but here is my situation.

I've got a 2 year old computer that runs Dual Monitors. The problem began around the time I began to run Dual Monitors but it could have started before that, I don't remember.

The problem is the mouse pointer doesn't click where it is showing. Example: I'm going to click the X on the Browser, but instead I'll be clicking on the Maximize button right next to it. While this may seem like a trivial issue, it is HIGHLY annoying for games that require the use of the mouse, not to mention the everyday inconvenience of having to try to "guess" where the mouse if actually pointing.

I've tried new mouses, unattaching monitors, and just trying to change the mouse settings in general and nothing fixes the problem.

Has anybody ever had this issue before?

Are you using Vista or 7?

If so open your Mouse settings in Control Panel and change the pointer scheme from Windows Aero to none.

Had this happen a while agooooooo with my MX518

I'm on Vista, I just did what you recommended. It was definitely on Windows Aero. Changed to none. If this works I will kiss you on the mouth.
