I have to leave right now, going to party. But if you think they are just in Texas and the like? You have no idea. Will speak on this later.

Yeah...pretty ridiculous. Where they want Obama to show proof before running for re-election. Amazing the distractions they keep coming up.

Anyway... do you REALLY want those jobs that most undocumented people work? Really? Maybe I'm overgeneralizing thinking that they mostly work crappy jobs...

And undocumented people aren't all the same. Some are undocumented because they may not know how to get proper documentation? Undocumented people come from all places. They aren't just Hispanic people.

Sure you got time to party with all those immigrants stealing your jobs?

It's interesting, the phrase "immigrants stealing my job" denotes that one feels entitled to jobs because one is American. Is that how people who say this really feel? They feel entitled to those jobs?

You should be looking for a job instead of partying. Clearly not having a job is your fault, you lazy cracker.

I actually feel like arguing about this, simply because there are some points I agree/disagree on with both sides, though its clear that I'm biased.

I'm sure you'll come with a retort about how so many illegals are stealing your job, because you've applied at several places. I was in the same situation (no joke, I even made a post about it somewhere in general). Getting a job is not about how much a job wants you, its about how much YOU want the job.

I started to think that it didn't matter how many applications I put in to several different places, I was never going to get the job if I never followed-up. I got really serious about it, spent days and days calling/applying, and I finally found a job. Took me THREE DAYS of really trying, not just "applying". Got a job paying 10 bucks an hour. Not bad considering I'm also a full-time student.

Now I'm sure you'll reply with "YEAH I DID ALL OF THAT YET I STILL CAN'T FIND A JOB FUCKING IMMIGRANTS." And I agree with you. Its not fair that all these illegal immigrants are taking American jobs, or that jobs are going overseas for that matter, meaning your average American will probably have to skip a meal or two just to save a few bucks here or there.

No sarcasm, I really do think that's wrong.

However, its Americans who are HIRING THESE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, MORE OFTEN THAN NOT WILLINGLY. Capitalizing just in case you miss that point. Is it the illegal immigrant's fault that you don't have a job? Probably, but its more the employer than the illegal immigrant.

Honestly, its 8:46 PM EST right now. You could be applying at several jobs online tonight, write down some phone numbers, and call on Monday, see if you can get an interview. As a matter of fact, fuck calling. Go over there personally. But no, you're too busy worrying about going to a party and still have the audacity to bitch about the fact that illegal immigrants are taking your job.

Anyway, its capitalism. Either you go out there and prove to employers why you deserve to be employed, or you suck it the fuck up and deal with it. America's not perfect. Even without a job, you're better off than the families of the illegals on the other side of the border. I'm not telling you to care, but if you were in their shoes and you gave a fuck about your family or friends, you'd jump over the fucking border, too.

Sure, its wrong. But do you honestly think these immigrants are thinking about you? No. They don't give a fuck about you. They're willing to do HARD WORK for cheaper the price. Think for a second... if you were an employer, would you hire someone who'd be willing to work under the table almost for free, or get someone where you're required by law to pay them minimum wage -at least-? I know from an economic standpoint, if I were an employer, I'd definitely get an illegal immigrant to build my patio. Fuck you.

At least in Arizona, illegals can pretty much do any job if they can get past all the legal things which isnt that difficult. My 1st and 2nd grade teachers (senior now, so it was probably somewhat less strict) were both illegal immigrants and at the daycare/school where my mom works, a few of the teachers there are also illegal with something like 40% or more of the kids being parents of illegal immigrants.

Oh man. I just want to say thank you to the GOP.

In the 30's you drove blacks from the Republican party and now your shedding Hispanics.

What they fail to understand is by 2040 its estimated that white people will no longer be the majority here and hispanics will more then likely become the new base for the Democratic party.

If this continues to happen the GOP will have essentially have signed their death warrant.

So again a big thank you to the Republican party.

There are a lot more undocumented people than most are probably aware. I do think it's wrong to assume that all undocumented people are bad or out to steal other's jobs or something.... Then again, I have something against using the term 'illegal', rather than 'undocumented'. Evokes really negative connotations.

I call Shenanigan. Pretty sure you have to be certified to be a teacher.

    which includes background checks.

It was a pretty shitty public school, but as i said, it was like 10ish years ago at this point. I don't know the whole back story, but one of them was both deported on expired visas(that was expired then) after I had left the school and I dont know the story behind the other one.

'zona is 10 electoral votes. Were this to happen in, say, Florida, I'd see more cause to 'nyeah nyeah' at the GOP but this? This is a blip that the voters will forget in 2012.

So they passed a Background check?

You're anecdotal story doesn't hold up too well to scrutiny.

I was in 1st and 2nd grade at the time. I'm not going to pretend like I know their entire story, I just know they were both deported on immigration related issues when I was in 5th or 6th grade.

You're looking at it in terms of these coming elections.

I'm not talking about the coming elections. I'm looking at the big picture.

btw this isn't just about Arizona. You're naive if you believe this isn't going to upset Hispanics everywhere.

Again you're using an anecdotal story and aren't even the first person in your own narrative. 'My mother told me' isn't really credible source of information.

    Sorry bud

But to me this does not follow a clear logic, so maybe someone can explain it to me. It seems to me that after people have been born and raised here for several hundred years, and a unique culture has been established, it seems reasonable to say that they are natives and people arriving now from different cultures are immigrants in every sense.

But apparently that's "not" the case, so exactly how long does a culture have to exist somewhere before it's considered native? It's been 400 years sine Jamestown, that seems sufficiently long to me. Also, can't you extend this logic and say that all Europeans are immigrants in their own land too? That, in fact, no culture has any claim to its land at all because by most accounts homo sapiens originated somewhere in africa/the gulf?
Mexicans have been immigrating north for centuries before the White people came to America.

Right. Instead of "rapist" we should say, "person who failed to get consent"
