I live in Arizona. Personally I have no problem with this law. If I do get pulled over and asked for my "papers" or whatever the hell they want to prove I am an american citizen, I in no way would be offended. I will gladly hand it over before they even ask. Why? Because I have nothing to fear... I am not here illegally.

Seriously Arizona, what a waste of tax payer money. There are 12 million illegals currently reside in the US. It's impossible to deport all of them both politically and financially. I would say our economy will probably sink into a recession if all these cheap labors were gone. People who bitch about mexicans taking our jobs simply refuse to acknowledge the economic reality that ordinary americans won't do the most menial, harshest labor work for minimum wage, and they should STFU. We should spend our energy for immigration reform already instead of profiling people of color, which does nothing to dampen the flow of illegal immigration. They would if they could. The law is designed to identify illegals in AZ so that they can be prosecuted and deported. And I am pointing out how futile this exercise really is. If profiling and deporting can prevent illegals from coming in, we won't have 12 million illegals. The enforcement of draconian immigration law will probably temporarily reduce the numbers sure, but it won't make a bit of difference in the long term.
