The rich get richer, and the poor have babies. This is true for societies as a whole, and for regions of wealth concentration. Rich nations get richer (have less babies), poor nations have babies (have their resources funneled to the north through exploitation).

Rich nation has less babies, but has lax immigration. Poor people immigrate, and have lots of babies which supplements the baby making of the rich (who aren't having many babies). These immigrant babies end up going through our school system, and for the documented ones with 4.09 GPAs, they go to Berkeley and contribute to our society and end up having a low birth rate themselves. The undocumented ones with 4.09 GPAs, well they're out of luck. Get pregnant, ???, profit.

Anyway, immigration is inflating America's over all birth rate, which is protecting the economy and population over all.

Incoming immigrants (illegal or otherwise), the majority, have neither education (maybe elementary and some high school) or money (hence why they came to America). This is not the rule for all immigrants for instance as I work for an immigration firm that helps Jesuit priests obtain permanent residentship in the US and they are all "foreigners" that happen to have 2-3 master degrees, a phd, speak 3-5 languages, and are bankrolled by the Catholic church. So, ymmv, but for undocumented immigrants they are definitely uneducated and poor on average which leads to higher birth rates.

As mentioned already, the more educated you are, and the more money you have, the less likely you hare to have children. This is why undeveloped nations when developed gradually shift from a high birth rate / high mortality (lots of births and lots of deaths) to a a low birth rate / low mortality (not many births / not many deaths) as they become developed. This is because as they become developed more and more of the population enjoy an increased quality of life including more and more education and more and more wealth, the need and desire to have children diminishes greatly.

Japan's low birth rate has nothing to do with sexual fetishes. It has to do with the fact that all the young women in the country would rather work and earn a living and shop then pop out a baby and ruin their lives. Why would you have a child when you're in a double income no children (DINC) relationship? It would ruin the life you've come to enjoy and also the quality of life you're used to without a child draining your bank account. The same goes for men, and also for marriage. This is not unique to Japan.

Have you tried taking children abroad? You need Birth certificates and signatures of all the parents listed on the Birth Certificate..

If this isn't the case anyone could theoretically steal a child and head to the border and raise the kid as their own as a Mexican citizen.

...but if you really needed to prove it is your child you could just get a DNA test. My point was I'd assume that legally the children of mexican citizens would be mexican citizens automatically, regardless of where they're born - they wouldn't be 'nation-less'.

How am I wrong? By mexican law, the children of mexican citizens are granted mexican citizenship, whether they are born in Mexico or abroad. A simple google search tells you this much.
