The weather shit needs to work with the sch spell. It is seriously terrible.

Main reason why I'm not going to buy these addons blindly. Salv v2? No thanks.
Not to turn this into another Salv droprate rant, but I seriously hate that system. It should have had an additional system for crap luck players like me that let's you accumulate points for whacking 200 (or w/e #) turtles and then you can trade in those points for a Hikazu Hara-Ate. Then you'd have players who get lucky on drop from turtle itself and players who at least at some point are guaranteed a drop thanks to points. I do not want to see another PSO drop system in this game again ever...
Out of hand does not need to have to mean crap drop rates, they now have like 40 lvls+ to make mobs stronger/harder/odd new ways. It could be a fucking 100% drop rate with a mob you might only beat 1/100 times who knows. Nidhogg vs 2.0 slow no longer works at all. He has perma MS.
This is SE, they can come up with some odd ways to screw with us, tho you are right odds are it will turn into salv
Hmm a borderline AV? As much as I'd like to see that, it would take as much patching as AV did because we weren't "fighting it the right way". So ya, Salv v2 most likely :/
I'd like to see AF3 be either:
Rewards from an Assault-style system
Armor that is a common drop but needs to be "broken" by fighting in Abyssea.
People who think it's going to drop from something like AV, PW, or Salvage need to re-read the announcement of Abyssea.
In Abyssea, concerns such as the over-population of battle areas and the need for large time investments will be a thing of the past. The development team is hard at work creating a world where parties can engage in rewarding battles with powerful foes and collect prized equipment with the least of fuss.
It would be cool if the armor were common, but you unlock certain features of the armor by completing events within Abyssea. For example, a hand piece would have ACC+6; Haste+5; ATT+9. By completing certain requirements, you unlock the ATT+9. Continue along that path and you unlock the rest and so forth. It offers both the longevity wanted by hardcore players and possibly SE while preventing a zero-sum game.
I just hope my BLU is useful in it because I'm sick of using my god damned SAM for everything. I really don't think it's too much to ask for.
Asking SE to make SAM not be the god job is asking too much. Knowing them they'll do something retarded like make SAM JSE with TP Bonus that stacks with or obsoletes Hagun.
I just want to see some god damned MNK JSE though. We've got, like... Arakan Samue. That's it.
mnk... let my other jobs wear a haste 7+% belt at low level and we'll talk about jse.
I'd like it if AF3 was quested. AF quests(not coffers) were fun because you learned more about the job's history. I think almost everyone enjoyed AF quests, because it was a fixed ration reinforcement instead of a stupid random interval one like Af2 where you could work hard for 100+ Dynamis runs and not see a piece drop, and some other chumps who wipe but manage to kill a few get a drop.
Now that FFXI's death is conceivably in the next few years they have no need to force people to spend so much time to get gear. Nobody likes uncertain drops. There's better ways to give out endgame gear that players have more control over ex: Omega/Ultima/HNMs/KSNM/BCNM/ENM. Having sometime have a tiny chance of dropping in an area that costs 500k to reserve and only lasts for limited time sucks. AF3 could be quested but have modest stats most of which enhance spell effects or job abilities, then we have to enhance them through Magian or with apertures or whatever later.
I haven't actually read that. Well that makes it better =D
While I'd like to see SE make a set of armor dats specific for MNK with useless stats since our belt is basically a set of JSE, I don't see it happening. Though AF3 seems to not be a refurbished AF1/2 from what we've seen so far with PLD and BLM AF3.
I highly doubt the new AF will be quested. In all honestly, I like how you can sort of focus on a specific piece of gear in Salvage and I'm hoping Abyssean dungeons will play out in a similar fashion with hopefully better drop rates and greater ability for targeting exactly what you want. The system for current Dynamis AF is horrible because it's too random. Just think about how awesome Dynamis would be if you could pick which armor you'd like to populate the zone with or if you got a Mog Bonanza Kupon X instead that allowed you cash in the piece of your choice.
They showed potential designs for PLD and BLM AF3 at Vanafest. Can't find that image at the moment but if you look here (large)
Spoiler: show
It's the same armor design for those two jobs.
They did show pld and black mage af3 at Vanafest.

Oh god I hope that isn't AF3. I want more reskins!
Seriously, PLD AF/Relic was fucking hot.
I'm still curious what the restrictions are. If they make camping kings a thing of the past then I'll consider coming back.I haven't actually read that. Well that makes it better =D
Has it been confirmed as job-specific? Or just "new armor"? I'm not trolling, I just feel behind the times.
It was tentatively termed AF3 (and obviously we've called it such ever since), so I don't see why it wouldn't be job-specific.
