SE called it AF3 in the Vanafest twitter thing, and specified that they were "for PLD and BLM", not "heavy armor and mage jobs"
I use the terms AF2 and Relic interchangeably.
They said that isn't necessarily the finished product. I hope not, because that BLM hat is fugly.
Even the term "AF" is odd. Arti Fact? Should be AA for Artifact Armor or something.
Japanese emphasizes odd syllables (as opposed to English emphasizing even ones), so ar-ti-fact, AF. I doubt it's actually called "artifact" in Japanese though. Still the best syllables for forming a two-letter acronym.
It probably sounds like a-ru-to-ha-ku-to.
Is it just me or does it seem like everyone takes this update badly in a sense because their 'Badass full salvage relic wielding moar elite than you' days are coming to an end? just seem so.
Enjoy the content while the games around or quit.
14 just around the corner you know, if that's what your into.
I just get so tired of listening to people complain about this lvl cap increase, same discussion always comes up, Gear, Relics, yes i know it took a while to complete these things, but honestly, Aht urghan has been out how many years? relics have been around how long? Dontcha think its time to get some new things? everyone i talk to, complains of this crap. Im just wondering how many more people are ganna bitch about the new update and respond with '14s around the corner'
Well if its around the corner why even bitch~
Sorry had to vent! ^_^
ah yeah that makes sense too, sometimes they bother with the ti and sometimes they just leave things chi, it's so random. regardless, AF always made sense as an abbreviation to me. What I really find quirky is how many NAs refer to limit break as genkai. It's not exactly a prominent term, it's not easily readable from japanese text like D2 is, and I'm pretty sure it even has an auto-translate associated with it (could be wrong), yet i see genkai way more than LB/limit break, lol.
I don't see Genkai as often as I used to. I think the reason it emerged was because it allowed NAs to communicate with JPs. Now that we have enough LV75 NAs floating around, it seems almost trivial to take the extra step and say genkai.
Why does this shit keep coming up? When are ppl going to learn JSE is usually shit, with the exception of maybe one or two pieces of the set. Do I have to remind you of JSE's? Numbers are taken at endgame level as far as overall utility, I know some of the JSE may have greater usage at the level its obtainable. If any of these are wrong, please let me know
Chausable RDM 0/5
Barone WAR/DRG 2/5
Dragon THF 1/5
Igqira BLM 2/5
Bison/Khimaira BST ?/5 (I never see it used...soooo)
Unicorn WAR 1/5 (debatable due to the fact its a latent)
Hachiman SAM 1/5 (and thats generally requiring HQ hands)
Black DRK 1/5
Austere @50 they're mostly all good, @75 I think only HQ robe due to perp cost
Yasha NIN 0/5
Do you really want JSE?
It doesn't take away from his point, though. Most JSE is trash, you can pretty much guarantee that should mnk ever get a set then people will QQ because it's worthless. Better to just move on, look at your black belt, and remember that any other job in the game would do horrible things for 12% haste in one slot.
I'd say 4/5, only hands are bad tbh. 3/5 HQ are best in slot pieces for their purpose. Igqira is easily the exception to the rule here though.
Completely agree with your point, JSE tends to suck and MNK has an epic job-specific waist piece already. JSE armor would likely be superfluous.
