The curse effect really can be a life saver, don't forget that curse slows movement speed too.

The two bodies I use on smn (YYR + AF2) look good to me so I'm happy lol.
I never liked YY Rob since well... I never considered it a robe and it felt out of place to me on SMNs.
Can't comment on Relic body though. I got SMN to 66 and was damn proud to be done with it.
YYR would make more sense if SMN was a martial mage of some type, but it's not, it's a channel for otherworldly beings which is about as far off from a martial anything as possible. SE is just too fucking lazy to come up with any good-looking new armor and chooses to recycle the same old models due to PS2 limitations or some other bullshit excuse that simply doesn't fly anymore. I always hated the hobo armor (seriously, why ever make something that looks like that? why?) and the AF looks alright from a design standpoint but the textures are extremely messy, the colors are bled into each other everywhere and the lines are not very defined at all. It's like whoever was making the AF models finally got to the end of the list and said "fuck it, I'm done" and didn't bother cleaning it up any. All of the other jobs' AF looks cleaner than SMN's (both versions). Which brings us back to the point that SE has been shitting on SMN from day one and the only reason the job's so good for VNM is because they want to lull us into a false sense of security before ripping away our last bastion of usefulness when they finally unveil the upcoming bloodpacts which will invariably consist of NO PIERCING SKILLS YET AGAIN I HATE YOU SO MUCH SE DIAF /rant
agree completely on the JSE argument, although I use 4/5 BLM set every time I play the job. And I was damn proud of my huaraches when I got 'em, and I still love'em.
TBH Hands are probably the best non zenith/morrigan piece for the casual BLM too.
Now RDM......I never liked the baker's mitts and condom hat....damn you SE for using that model for Oracle's set.
