If it's never been manually setup you can google the router model and find the default login user and pass to change it or reset it, just in case. This only helps if you can connect to the network itself, with or without internet access. Otherwise what you can try is if it has wired ethernet ports available, plugging in one of the PCs so as not to rely on the wireless and see if that allows you to access the internet or gets you anywhere.
Did this router work prior to you coming home within the last year or is this just something you noticed now because you haven't been home? Assuming other people would've been using it all along.
