NOT ONE BUT TWO MAGMAWS, lolz
I'm liking the 'fix' to crowd control pulls, but at the same time figuring out how to perform a pull with the avaliable tools was fun.
also inb4 just wotlk the place.
What fix are you talking about? Are you talking about BC--> Cata difference?
thatCrowd Control
* Many crowd control abilities no longer cause creatures to attack players when they are cast. The creature will not attack the player when the crowd control wears off, and nearby creatures will not become hostile to the player either. However, if a visible player gets too close to the target creature, the creature will remember and attack the player when the crowd control effect wears off. The intent is to make it easier for dungeon groups to manage crowd control assignments and pulling packs of hostile NPCs. The abilities affected by this change are: Hibernate, Entangling Roots, Wyvern Sting (will still cause hostility when it begins to deal damage), Freezing Trap, Polymorph, Repentance, Shackle Undead, Blind, Hex, Bind Elemental, Banish, Seduction.
Too good to last, I knew it# Stealth now once again begins its cooldown once the rogue leaves Stealth.![]()
I've not had a lot to do during the day recently so I thought I'd resub and try out these new troll heroics.
The amount of whining and crying all over various forums about how they are too hard is just insane so I thought I'd give it a go and see what the hype is all about, knowing it couldn't get any worse than the heroics the first few weeks cata shipped.
I get a group for Zul'Aman and we one shot all of the bosses, bearing in mind this was a pug and all heroic geared. Only real difficulty was Daakara's cat form, took us a few attempts to realize his pounce is a hate reset. But after that it went down like a sack of shit. I thought to myself perhaps Zul'Aman is the easier one, knowing Zul'Gurub has some notoriously hard bosses. So I queue up for that and one shot all of those bosses with a different group..... And managed to get 3 epics in the process.
I have no fucking idea what these people are crying about, they have NOTHING on what heroics were when cata first shipped. The ecounters are by no means hard what so ever, infact I enjoyed myself. That could of been just playing after a 3 month hiatus though.
I most likely got lucky with group placement, I'm not nieve enough to not realize I am going to get bad groups through pugging but in regards of people saying its too hard need to learn how the fuck to play. And the fact Blizzard listen to these people makes me throw up even more.
WoW playerbase is composed mostly of 4 years old girl. That's why they cry so much.I have no fucking idea what these people are crying about, they have NOTHING on what heroics were when cata first shipped. The ecounters are by no means hard what so ever, infact I enjoyed myself. That could of been just playing after a 3 month hiatus though.
Also, you forgot the part where you have to rage quit and come whine on the forum after the 2nd wipe.
[edit]
I agree with you, these instances aren't bad. You probably got lucky with the placement since a bad player (especially healer) will make a big difference, but people definitively lack patience.
I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum, plenty of shit groups in all forms and shapes, be either horrid tanks, shit healers or terrible dps, but my worst complain would be they take as long as deadmines (more trash and more annoying) or grim batol at launch (back when people didn't skip bosses). ZA is easier than ZG because the boss mechanics deal less damage overall and the tactics are pretty simple.
Yeah, I got lucky being placed into groups that have done it all before, I have been playing WoW long enough to sympathize what you've gone through, I've experienced it myself thousands of times and most probably will in a few days lol. People are still making threads in the offical forums/mmo champ about how it's too hard and the like. More than likely it is people that just began playing when cata heroics where easy so didn't experience GM/DM/HoO heroic on release. So go into ZA/ZG and start crying when they realize that they have to pull their own weight and probably get kicked a lot or get a group equally as retarded and don't get past the trash.
I just wish those sort of people would die in a fire, I mean I'm not gonna pretend that I am hot shit, people make mistakes but it just annoys me when they cry and bitch on forums thats it too hard just because it requires a little effort to get an epic item. Why are these people even paying for this game if they want everything within a week? whats the fucking fun in that. raaaaaaaaaaaage hahaha.
Blizzard better not nerf them, or that will destroy any little respect I had for them. I know it's only heroic dungeons and they will just be somewhere you go with your alts in time but it's just a sign that they dont give a fuck about their community and just want to please the retards for extra bucks. The skilled/decent/well mannered players are a small minority these days.
I had a healer earlier that was rushing the whole group, like kept spamming "gogo" and stuff like that. A real impatient bastard and acted all top boss cause he had a few heroic epics. Anyway he kept urging the tank to pull bigger groups cause he could "handle it". The tank said fine and pulled like he said, not only did he die about 4 times during trash because he couldn't over heal it. One of the members started to rip the shit out of him because he was only doing 12k HPS as a decked out paladin. He then left without saying anything lol.
Kinda meh about this, was fun being able to stealth a lot on my rogue...but why is this even in 4.2 notes? How hard would it be to just revert the change they made in 4.1?Stealth now once again begins its cooldown once the rogue leaves Stealth.
Fucking love hunting for Tol'vir rares in archaeology now, I've had like 7 in a row streaks of tol'vir dig sites. Only downside is that since they've added new items to troll/fossil I still have to do them often too.
When the average 351+ ilv person can only do 7-8k w/a 10-15% buff, it leads to ppl raging about shit being too hard. There have been multiple times me and 3 other guildies will que for a new heroic to only get a 5th that sucks so badly we basically 4 man all bosses and/or can't kill them because of the fail the pug brings. How ppl do such pitiful dmg w/ a HUGE ass buff makes no sense to me. but that's where a mojority of the population is at. They don't know how to play their class and they just sit there pressing 2 buttons. The content isn't hard, but its the fail players that make shit hard. I can understand not knowing boss mechanics and wiping to something that you should have avoided, ect.. but doing such abysmal dps is just plain baddie material
What's worse is the person is usually from your server now so it makes it a little more troublesome to just blind kick em
eh well my server is know for being shit so I enjoy kicking people from it![]()
Just ask them politely in whisper, and most people will leave after 1 wipe or 2. If they refuse to fix what went wrong and leave, then kick them.
"I'm sorry, but your dps (or gear, hps), 8k/s is way too low for this instance" works more often then not to get ride of someone. If they are failing at the mechanics, send them a detailled whisper that include what they need to do, and insist indirectly that they are the one who are fucking up your run.
I fucking agree. I just got out of a ZA which had a good overall team, but I couldn't help but notice the ret paladin not using inquisition and using divine storm 24/7. Even on a single target boss fight. I called him out on it while I was looking at recount, and he tried defending himself saying he was using crusader strike. Recount doesn't lie.
I couldn't boot him, niether could anyone else. I just continued the run while bashing him occasionally and can only hope he learns something from it. I don't even know how he got in, he had a il333 weapon and 318 greens.. a couple epics from rep and some other zandalari heroic items.
I think it's all about approach. I know personally that I would get tired of "being called out" for something. I miss the days of FFXI where people didn't know your keystrokes. They mostly cared about winning.
EDIT: Also, and this is my opinion and not directed at anybody, but I don't even care about recount especially if we win. If we kill said boss and we have 1 person left with 1 hp, so be it, we won. Since win is winning not enough?
Do you really miss 4k xp/hours pugs in Mires? Do you miss people not being able to sneak/invi themselves to byakko? Or retard who didnt understood tp given, positioning, and enmity?
I sure as hell don't. FFXI had the same ratio of baddies, but you were stuck with them all the time. It was annoying as hell.
Winning is one thing, but people leeching is another. We are allowed to expect a minimum from everyone.
