I was more referring to boss fights I suppose. While I agree with what you're saying, I just don't mind if we are completing the instance/raid and loot is dropping. If it is a detriment to the groups progression, then absolutely but to call somebody out just because their numbers aren't where you feel they should be is a bit much for me.

I don't get mad at people that are underperforming, but I want them to be aware that there is still place for improvement. If they are nice, or are trying (ie: ask questions, say sorry, show us that they are aware of whats happening), it's not really a problem, and I will do it as nicely as I can. If they remain silents, don't listen, are rude...I won't be nice either.

if ppl wipe to not knowing something, or to learning a fight, it doesn't bother me. But when me and my friends que and we get 1-2 random pugs.. the first thing i say is something like "if you aren't familiar w/the fights let me know and I'll explain whats up." Most ppl won't speak up though and when you get to a boss its "i fail" time from them. mechhanics can be taught and doesn't bother me as much as seeing ppl do abysmal dps. You can teach ppl boss mechanics, but you can't teach them how to play the class they leveled to 85 and are geared enough to enter ZA/ZG with

Horde mounts look awesome, Alliance however look shit as always, i dont know why the insist on using horses everytime since, elephants or cats would have been awesome, hell even rams would be fine.

Read about that on GAF. The 11.4 mil number is basically their pre-cata sub numbers, so basically 6 months after Cata launched they've lost the interest of players who burned through all the refreshed 1-60 content and are now wondering why the 80-85 content is so thin. People are probably just weary of the game; Having witnessed the death of Arthas, an event anticipated since 2003, all the new-ish lore doesn't quite have the same allure. Yeah yeah deathwing, but his presence is barely felt since you spend most of your time in Tol Barad or fighting the Twilight cultists/Nefarian (again). I'm not optimistic about their 'smaller, paid expansions' plan since that just sounds like life support until they can think of an excuse to raise the level cap to 90/100 for WoW expansion #4. I'm probably not going to quit since I'm not in one of the top-50 guilds bored of farming Heroic Al'Akir 25 yet, but if Firelands is just Quel'Danas 2.0 my playtime is probably going to taper out further until I'm only playing 2 days/week instead of 3.

^ Even in doing the new "lowbie" quests.. and even in Cata quests.. Deathwing is not felt like Lichking was. Lichking was present in so many quests / instances throughout outlands. Deathwing is present in like 5 cata quests and I noticed like 20 quests which had a strong focus on Deathwing in all the redone vanilla zones.

WoW is strongest in China, its been slowly tapering away in the US. And while those numbers aren't significant, its the start of its decline that will only happen faster and faster.. especially w/ the current snail pace at which content is being release. Another thing about cata is that they are fuckin w/ classes left and right. Changing how they are played all the time. People don't like that and I know it's burnt a few of my friends out. Cata just hasn't delivered like ppl thought it would..

The impact of blizzard messing around with classes has been grossly overstated, everyone I've known who's quit wow (whether they wind up coming back or not) did so because they ran out of content, not because they could no longer favorably compare the experience of playing their class to the way things were before. Maybe things are different when your healers/tanks are at the 7+/13 heroic mode point of progression, I've not gotten that far yet. DPS classes ain't got much to bitch about, apart from minor quibbles like having to DW Frost in Unholy spec, or pre-cata problems like Ignite munching.

Is it really any surprise? I don't need subscription numbers to tell me whats going on. I remember Dalaran in WoTLK, it was full of people, the horde section was so full it lagged to hell, Cata came out, org was packed for maybe 3 weeks before it looked empty as hell.

WoW is def on the decline, the content sucks, no patch they do will be good enough. 4.2 will bring people back from anywhere from 1-3 months before the burn-out happens again.

Farming heroics is a terrible bore there is nothing they can do to make the system fun, the system is not salvagable, it has shown its age to the point where people have to be bribed to tank/heal them. Raids aren't plenty enough for you to fill your time up with, When raiding was over for the week this game became borderline terrible.

I'm still a fan of Blizzard despite how horrible I think cataclysm is but there isn't shit they could do to make me want to play the game again. The next expansion you're gonna see the same shit, new reps to farm, more heroics, same type of raids with the same kinds of hardmodes, the game is just stale.

The fun factor is gone, the game has become repetitive at best. There is almost no reason to even leave towns anymore outside of a queue popped, farming mats, dailies or raids. I don't think any of this is fixable until they're ready to move on to doing things differently. Lets be honest, the game is almost 7 years old, do you see them drastically changing anything at this point?

The B team who's doing WoW right now is the most indecisive developers i've ever seen in my life, one day something is fine, the next day its changed so much it became useless.

While I 100% agree with you, i'm one of the few that falls into this category. I wasn't following patch notes for cata release, so when I booted up cata for the first time i went to level my main for all of lich king, which was my blood DK dps. That was a shock I wasn't fond of. I understand why blizzard did it, homogenization etc etc, but it stunk I lost my favorite dps spec like that

Homogenization my ass, every role/class plays the same now. I started leveling a mage after i got my 80s to 84/85, and it literally plays the same as ele shaman and balance druid. You deeps until you proc a talent, then you hit your high cast time power spell that is now an instant. Shit is the same for pretty much any dps class now, you just mash buttons til you used up all your procs and go back to basic ability A or B. Cata homogenization killed any remaining differences classes had.

And really, i was wondering how long it was gonna take before people realized more raids/dungeons with the same mechanics and gameplay system isn't new content. Doesn't help that they made the new raids so difficult the vast majority of their players just get angry and quit. Naxx may have been easy as hell but at least people had fun running it.

The new raids aren't difficult really, at least the first 2 (and conclave) are easy enough all you need is decent coordination, and 1 decent healer, I've done them with good guild groups, bad guild groups, my guild, pugs, bad pugs and the two real problems are people being bad or people being stupid (rogues missing interrupts).

If anything the problem is probably the content is not as accesible now as Naxx / ICC were.
