    What you're saying basically amounts to this:

    You see someone making a tally. They're going for the number 3. You know they started with the number 1. You happen to walk in and find them having done 1+1, and being at 2. You then assume that they have to remove that 1 and add 2 to the first 1, but that's not the case. They simply haven't added another 1 to make it 3 yet.

    It's obviously much more complicated than that, and surely there are plenty of things that *will* be taken out. But there's nothing out there stating that they've made all these changes and are then going to drop them and completely start over from scratch. Tons of changes will be made, both adding and dropping.

    Armor penetration is being removed.

    Attack power and Spell power as individual stats on gear are being removed. They will be obtained through str/agi/int only. Other than that they haven't specifically stated that they're removing anything except the massive changes to the block system.

    Who's saying Deathwing resurrected them himself? Doesn't he have the Triforce or something in his body? Surely he can summon help that can raise the dead.

    eh.. None of this really bothers me; any explanation at this point wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility. It's a fantasy setting ffs and all the major (enemy) players in cata are immensely powerful beings.

    What I am somewhat confused about is the Dranosh'ar Blockaid, but I haven't been following cata event leaks all that closely.

    I'de imagine it'd be the starting pet for worgen hunters, since all hunters will start with a race specific pet at level one. Assuming it can indeed be tamed.

    first of all, it's a model update, not a new monster being added to the game. second of all, it's clearly not a humanoid type monster. why wouldn't it be able to be tamed?

    I doubt those new models are aimed at updating the three random unimportant mobs that happen to have mastiff in the name, especially as they are from three different mob families, and have abilities from those mob families (hyena, wolf, demonhound). It's possible they will update some old mobs that were supposed to be dogs with these mastiff models, but the main point seems to be that these will appear in gilneas. If they are tamable, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up as their own pet type.

    You realize there are plenty of beast mob families that aren't tamable right? These might be tamable, and could possibly be the worgen starting pets, but that logic fails.

    it's possible. i guess we won't know until it comes out huh? i'm just going by every other mob that's been posted. there have been various model updates including crab, fox, crocolisk, murloc, shark and kobold. that fact that they would add all those new mob models into the game and leave the old ones is... not likely?

    Basilisks, Clefthoof, Elekk, Zhevra...

    There are more but those are some that people have repeatedly lamented not being able to tame.

    i guess i read wowhead wrong. i don't really understand the reasoning behind why blizz didn't make those mobs tamable. there are other things like mammoths and deer that can't be tamed, but that mob just doesn't give off the fact that it may not be able to be tamed. idk.

    You retarded? Blizz adds tons of new models for mobs of existing families in new zones every expansion, rarely replacing any of the old ones. For example worgs, jormungars, tbc wasps, the raptors/wind serpents in blade's edge, wotlk murlocs, etc etc.

    Aside from the ones mentioned, and shit that can't walk/fly on land, this is what I can think of off the top of my head:

    kodo
    fenstriders
    giraffes
    thunderlizards/stegosaurs
    talbuks
    rams
    pterodactyl mobs in ungoro
    hydras
    mana wyrms
    wyverns
    hippogryphs
    fleshbeasts
    wotlk penguin things (mostly critters but I know there is at least the rare/elite one that's a non-tamable beast)
