No.
No.
It made me laugh. But then again, I'm under the influence, so that may have something to do with it.
Well, no not really see, someone hit the orb and started the trash event, the exploit to just skip the trash is basically what you did.
1) Hit orb
2) Flip diff.
3) She comes down
4) Reset fight with vanish or FD
5) Boss is there and trash is gone
6) Flip back to whatever diff you wanted.
Oh man.. vial of sands fix for hunters and a damage buff soorta, for the hunter bow off DW... crazy!
Is that possible? I thought there hasn't been enough time for somebody to complete.
Not the best source (MMO-Champ lol, but seriously that forum is just plain dumb) but rumours started already he faction changed multiple times to get it
Oh I didn't meant that type of dumb, but community/poster wise, or the masses. As Odon pointed out, everyone is more or less autistic. I went a while back to actually compare it to an autistic forum in terms of what's being posted, and was surprised to see it being true.
I go there when:
1. Bored (some stuff is actually fun to read when waiting for other work to be "done" while at work)
2. Guides/WoW news
Most topics make me roll my eyes but sometimes you come across a genuinely interesting topic. I understand the traffic there is significantly higher due to WoW's popularity, and that anything that attracts the masses usually means = dumb. But that's what I mean.
Anyways, back on the daggers:
Any huge dragon/similar entity over Stormwind upon completion?
And people have been spouting that MoP will be out in June ... not sure how I'm gonna handle dipping into DS for another 6 months haha.
That's true of basically any WoW (or any video game, for that matter) community though. The vocal people are generally the most retarded.
Dipping into DS for another 6 months would actually be a pretty short time-period for pre-expansion content.
This is one of the most innocent and sweetest feedback I've read so far this month:
http://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/2...w-to-fix-them/
tl;dr - the guy who wrote it appears to be innocently young, good spelling, pointing out the obvious, but in general after reading it, it made me smile lolI've been playing the latest patch a lot. And thus I have some feedback for Blizzard on how everything is going. I thought I'd add a topic about this to combine what I've read and experienced in LFR so far. From what I can see from other topics on this, there's a lot of players who are having bad experiences. So, my feedback, based on doing LFR with many of my chars.
Getting the kills
I rarely see a group fail on the first 4 bosses.
Hagara kills players but overall groups manage to kill her, regardless of deaths.
Ultraxion doesn't go down easily. The tanks usually have no clue, so random dps (usually the best) start dying fast.
The Warmaster boss usually goes down if you can manage players to stack up. When the boss jumps down, if you didn't have too many deaths, the boss goes down fairly easy.
Spine is, just like Ultraxion, a fight that depends highly on tanks but as well on dps. If the tanks don't know what to do, you won't stand a chance. If dps kill the mobs too fast or too slow, you may have to start over again, but since the healing requirement is next to nothing, it's just a matter of not too many players ragequitting.
Madness usually goes down but you still need tanks to pick up adds in the last phase and healers need to have decent healing. Unlike Spine, you'll need decent healing or you won't survive. The dps'ers can be taught to single target the small tentacles and if they also manage to get the bolt down in time, you don't often wipe on this encounter.
Overall there's still a lot of groups wiping on bosses in the last four bosses. Do I want you to nerf those bosses ? Hell no! There are other ways to solve this.
Players not knowing tactics
While this is, in essence, a player issue, I think Blizzard could help players more, with teaching them the tactics. While their aren't many mechanics left from the Normal encounters, making each encounter a Patchwerk type, there are still some things that players should be aware of to make sure the group doesn't wipe. I don't see how a player would need to learn anything about the first 3 fights, but on the next 5 bosses, it would go a lot smoother if players know tactics. An easy solution would be to make players more aware of the Dungeon Journal and that they can just ask in raid chat (make a login tooltip maybe). But another solution would be that Blizzard makes tactic movies themselves, for LFR only of course. If you played the latest Deus Ex game, you'll see that whenever a player encounters a new feature or situation, the game plays a small movie in-game on how to handle this. Yes this makes the game easier, but you can always turn them off or skip them. Besides LFR is the "easy" setting of raids, right ? Maybe even a link to the Blizzard website where players can watch the movies outside the game would provide some help.
Entering raids automatically
I don't know if this is a bug or a feature but currently, if you go afk while in a LFR queue, you will enter the fight when the timer runs out. I don't see how this is a good feature at all. First of all, the player will have entered an instance without knowing, perhaps even killed a boss and be locked out of loot without him/her being able to roll on it. Second, the group gets a replacement, but that replacement is afk. If the group notices the player is afk, they can kick the player again (what's the benefit again?) or worst case, they pull, and notice their tank/healer is afk and have to wipe the encounter. It would be lovely to see this "feature" being removed as I can't see anyone liking this at all.
Loot rolls up for too long
There are multiple reasons why this can happen. A player is disconnected, AFK, left the raid or has been kicked. Still the entire raid has to wait for the last player to finally pass until they have their loot. Some players want to leave after the loot is being handed out and sometimes this forces them to leave during the NEXT boss's fight. Especially on the Warmaster, Spine and Madness fight this seems an issue. Easy fixes:
- If you have to activate a boss by speaking to an NPC, then make players unable to do so until the loot has been rolled for, and even a bit longer, so players can leave.
- If players are flagged AFK from the start of the fight till the end, make them automatically pass loot.
- If player leaves or get kicked, before or during loot rolls, they should be automically passing loot.
You can't implement something for dc'd players, okay, that's fine, let's hope players don't disconnect too much then.
EDIT: it's probably why a blue responded to it
Ain't gonna work unless you somehow force them to sit through the video.
The best method in my opinion would be a 3 bullets point tutorial that take 10 seconds to read. Implement it as some sort of ready check before the encounter starts. It's not like there is a single LFR mechanics that take more than 10 words to explain, and no fight have more than 3 things to do.
I think they need to separate the points in the journal to tank/dps/healer things that need to be taken care of.
On madness the journal has like 10 things in it, for someone new that's a LOT of stuff to remember because you are also trying to figure out what people are doing and whats going on so it's easy to lose track of everything.
I jumped into LFR the first time and raid common sense 101 led me to figure out everything pretty easily but reading things about madness as we were doing loot for spine and I got bored and didn't bother reading everything. There was too much fluff trying to tell me what EVERYTHING did when it should be telling you want things you need to worry about.
Stuff like unavoidable damage that is only there to make sure raid healers are doing their job or big chunks of damage that hit everyone or things you can't avoid and get around should be explained a bit simpler. 10 paragraphs going in-depth for each ability is overkill I think but maybe it will be refined as time progresses.
It does tell you what you need to worry about. It even has icons for things that needs to be healed through, tanked, dispelled and interrupted. Spine and Madness are pretty complex encounters with a lot of mechanics. LFR removes a lot of these things, but don't expect the Dungeon Journal to cliffnotes it any further than it has to.
And it really shouldnt have to either. I'm amazed how people just want to jump into a game, and do something without reading about it first or looking up any information. The game should not hold your hand on every little step. Sure it's far better then FFXI where 99% of everything was mere speculation and no one knew wtf was going on or what did what, but when the game holds your hand and tells you all the important information for the most part in a Journal and people still sit there and go "I wish we had more!!!" it blows my mind.
No, it should. It would save me the trouble of repeating the strategies every single raids for new players who have no clue what to do. It would save you the hassle of arguing with people who wants to do things differently just because multiples strategies also works.
And you need to keep in mind these strategies are obvious for people like us who raided on harder difficulty and played multiples mmo. Casual players might not catch that a debuff on your tank means a tank swap, it's something they need to be told.
Considering how ICC was around for over 8 months it shounds about rightAnd people have been spouting that MoP will be out in June ... not sure how I'm gonna handle dipping into DS for another 6 months haha.
ICC was 8 months? It felt like 1 year and half.
I had a dream Blizzard released a secret 4.4 that expanded more on the Abyssal Maw stuff and made N'Zoth the last boss.
But it was a dream![]()
