    Consider this...

    10m
    Drop 1 Emblem
    2 Pieces of Gear
    10% Crafting Material

    25m
    Drops 2 Emblems
    4 Pieces of Gear
    50% Crafting Material

The only difference is the pace at which progression occurs, 25m will still gear out faster (not better) and it will allow more versatility for guilds and low pop servers that can't do 25m raids. In a game environment where gear becomes obsolete within 4-6 months of it's conception, the only real motivation to gear is "how fast can I get it before everyone else does." That mentality it exactly what these new 25m cater too and why people will still run them.

They're not saying don't make constructive posts about why you don't like the changes, they're saying don't spam their shit with useless posts like "this sux i quit".

I'm actually one of the people who do pug 10 and 25-man raids every week, I actually enjoy it. Sucks that blizzard plans on making them the same raid lockout period. WTB 10-man guild

This change is a great improvement for 10m strict raiders. <3 Blizz.

I might be the only guy that apparently doesn't mind this change. Big name guilds are still about progression and gearing up. If Blizzard truly implements a noticeable distinction between the number of drops between 10 and 25 mans, I don't see any real major guilds having a problem with this - at least the one's I know of anyway.

Our guild has a lot of friends in it - a lot of skilled friends that can't seem to fit into our main 25man as it is. I'd hate to see some stupid form of elitism form when everyone's trying to merge the best of the best into some 10man while leaving the rest of the guild out to dry, and if it takes even a month longer to fully gear up from doing 10mans as opposed to 25 mans, no one in my guild's raiding corps is going to want to prioritize the 10-mans so they gear up slower than other people.

If blizz is dropping 3-4 more items per fight, I can't see 25 mans dropping out of style. I can only imagine if this system was implemented for ICC. Three to four more chances to get DBW per kill? Yeah, we'd have an even harder time trying to get a spot into the main 25 raid.

Change is inevitable. This change doesn't seem too bad, and its less time I have to spend each week raiding anyway.

Yeah, my biggest complaint about this is that it opens up potential to play multiple MMO's at once. Since I pretty much only play WoW to raid on a regular basis, and then just occasionally I feel the desire to level an alt, going down to only 2 raid nights and that's it would open up the potential to play FFXIV and WoW at the same time. But I'm a cheap ass and really don't want to do that, haha.

Just wait - soon enough raids will be phased out entirely! Full BIS from 5-man heroics! LET'S GO!

This makes me SO happy. The fact that you had to run 25s to get any kind of caster trinket in this expansion was complete bullshit. Not to mention things like 25 weapons blowing 10 weapons out of the water, and legendary's being 25 only. I don't think I've ever been so excited about a change in WoW.

That's a damned good point. Now that I'm all caught up on raiding progression, I spend at best, 3-4 nights a week in there, and that's mainly in ICC for a few hours or doing some BGs.

With only having to do one raid or another, once a week, with a smattering of rated BGs throughout the week, I'll have plenty of time to FFXIV it up as well as keep the workout program going, but dammit if I want to pay 30 bucks a month for both games...

I think if you combine raiding in WoW, doing normal everyday WoW stuff (daily heroic, BG, etc) and add to that the FF14 grind... you're going to burn yourself out pretty damn quick. And that's assuming Cata ships with only one raid, it may come with 2 or 3 for all we know, meaning you could very well be raiding 4 days a week to cover everything.

Ok maybe because im tired but im having a little trouble understanding this so bare with me.

So someone cant level to 85 and accept there new responsiblity as a class in a raid setup?

Given the stated gear requirements for the at-launch raids in Cata I think you'll get a good sample of how much you're going to like the new model without having to raid four days a week and find out if you enjoy spending your free time better in any other MMO (or single player game).

Even now you only gotta raid four days if you're still progressing hard in ICC 25 heroic. Less strict class comp requirements + you only need dungeon bluez for Cataclysm Raid Numero Uno = you'll get it done in a weekend, tops. They are not threatening us with another 15 boss raid :D

My chief concern is having to force a lot of people to switch from one hybrid combo to another, while juggling to accomodate those who voluntarily reroll once the level cap reaches 85. I'm merely claiming this is much easier to do with a 25-man sized raid than a 10-man. You can only push that little 'friend/boss' slider towards 'boss' so many times if you aren't in a top 50-class guild.

If someone finds there class or role hard to play then i suggest they get a new class or role thats pretty simple if they like that class to much then they should take the time to learn it and play it to the best of there ability.

Look at about all their posts. Long run on sentences, that just kind of go on sometimes, no real difference between this sentence and that one, just randomly switching out thoughts and ideas into long ramble,, that usually must be deciphered
