It's a moronic decision that the druid ability cat form turns a druid into a cat?

He's saying Worgen's 'DD form' should be something that looks more like a wolf or dog rather than a cat.
Minus the tail, the Worgen cat form looks the least catlike of all the Druid races, so I'm not really seeing the problem.
The Worgen forms look badass, especially the Cat - Looks like a legit lion with that mane.
Lions are totally cats
When it's a race of WOLFmen...kind of lol. It looks decent but I think it would have looked really cool to shift from a werewolf down into an actual wolf and back again. They could have made a really cool animation.
Though at least it doesn't look like the troll cat form, that looks horrible. The bear form looks kind of cool, sort of like the creature from Brotherhood of the Wolf.
Shoulda been Wild Bull form.
How exactly does Tauren changing into a lion make sense?
Lol, I was just asking to see why you said it, didn't want to put words into your mouth or anything, that'd be unfair. Nice to see you'll take a shot anyway.
I'd say a bit more about worgen druids, but pretty sure it breaks the NDA, so I won't go into why cat form works perfectly fine for Worgens.
How is a wolf man turning into a wolf when casting the spell cat form, more logical than a cow man turning into a cow when casting the spell cat form?
It would actually take away from a potential change they could make further down the line. You'd need to be in the alpha to know what I might be able to mean, though.
Spoiler: show
This is the last time I am going to respond because this forum has just turned into WoW fan boy land.
It might be nice lore, and I haven't seen the storyline yet (although, if that is going to be the storyline, then there might be some retconning with human druids, but whatever) but it largely misses the point that it doesn't make logical sense to have the DPS form for a race of werewolves be a cat instead of a wolf.
Stop drinking the kool-aid...
Whenever 'logic' is invoked when discussing a fantasy video game what you're really looking for is some tit-for-tat 'huh-huh' vs 'nyuh-uh' garbage that serves no real purpose in a discussion. Druid forms are tied to Druidic worship of nature and life on the planet, and clearly Cats, Bears, Crows, Moonkin and Trees of Life have special significance. They turn into cats because Druids turn into cats. They just happen to also be inflicted with lycanthropy and can ALSO turn into wolves. Get over your search for 'logic,' the answer is right in front of your nose.
On a strictly technical note, the game would require a complete rewrite of tooltips for just one race/class combination. "Pounce - Requires...um...cat or wolf form" or "Requires combat form." So there's your 'OH SO BLIZZARD WAS JUST BEING LAZY HAHAHA' bolthole, if you want it.
