My first reaction was QQ, but I'm happy now that they also said they're giving those of us with Exalted an extra FoS.I just want something to acknowledge that my hard work wasn't a complete waste.
Also, LOL @ everyone who said I was a moron for refusing to pay more than 150g for my Pristine Black Diamonds. :D
Two more cataclysm quest!
Cant wait to be letdown again
[edit]
More than 2 actually...not too bad so far.
invasions gonna start very soon, Monday at the latest.
They will probably let this go on for 2 weeks, and drop 4.0.3 a week before cata hits, with 4.0.3a dropping sometime during the week, which is weird but blizz said they are handling 4.0.3a in a way they haven't done before.
hnng my alts need so much of the loot dropped by the invasion bosses, c'mon already.
i'm really curious as to the difficulty of the bosses, kinda hoping they are a bit more than just free loots. Guess it doesn't matter since we have 3 weeks til cata ships anyway.
That would be anticlimimatic to release new zone if you didn't have access to the quests inside. Everyone and their mother would run to an empty Vash'ir with no quests, or get in hyjal from winterspring.
Just picture doing karazhan bosses in a 5 man instance. It's not incredibly hard, but many have mechanics slightly more complex than your average wotlk's 5 man fight. If the mechanics were executed properly, the actual fight werent very hard.
I think it'd fit more, cataclysm happens and -instantly- it's filled with npcs with quests and all the stuff that's happening there?
Realistically, of course not. However. I've seen the world without npc in the beta (incomplete area), and I don't know, I doubt it would be a good idea. Many zones like vashir and uldum involve an introduction cutscenes, and taking out the npc would hurt the overall experience. Also, the starter zone (vash'ir/hyjal) begin immediatly after cataclysm (storywise). The quest text wouldn't make sense if cataclysm was already 1 week old.
It's not that it couldnt be done right, but to make it look rights, it would require a crapload of work. The final week will probably consist of Deathwing destroying the place and elemental spawning in large quantity everywhere, which is also kinda cool.
Now, I do agree that oggrimar getting rebuilt in a record time is strange, but a smooth world transition would be a bit overkill for a one time events.
Orcs don't dilly dally like real construction workers, you tell them to build a city, they had one built last week.
From what i'm aware you won't have access to any 80+ content, new class/race combos, or goblin/worgen until cata is activated on the 7th. Not sure how they can restrict it but they have stated that 4.0.3a will hit shortly before the 7th. Only thing i can think of is invisible walls preventing you from getting in similar to how they blocked off Uldum and Twiligh Highlands on beta until it was ready.
I guess that without flight, blocking people off the new zone wouldnt be too hard. You can still walk to Vashir with water walking elixir though >_>
I kited a shark whale to Stormwind early in the beta (when their hitbox was larger than the zone). Unless they changed the map design, you should be able to do the reverse path.
The only thing I used was water walking potion and my +15% talent. With +100% mount, it would be a joke.
They could make it that fatigue doesnt wear off when you reach Vash'ir if it's a problem, but it's very possible to walk there in the game current state.
Zug zug, me tired
its lvl251 crap which would be amazing except that you can strut arund in full t10 gear in 4 days or less
