So, while you will be able to create, let's say, a dwarf shaman or a tauren paladin just after the shattering, you will be unable to change an existing character into any of the new race/class combinations using the Race Change service until Cataclysm is released.

Should this structure at all change, we'll be sure to let you know.

Question, will the ICC achieves still be available after sundering, prior to cata?

They haven't announced the removal of the frostwyrms/protodrakes so it's still worth it to grind out the achieves if you're getting close. They are dropping the rate of Invincible's Reins to 'very low,' so don't go nuts farming h.LK 25 if you're still after that. They also announced the removal of the 50-tries in Heroic ToC25, so no more mounts from there, either.

they aren't being removed from game at all. They will be available forever, until bliz decides they don't like them anymore.

You're both very welcome, sorry I couldn't continue to do it for everyone but I'm not at Blizzard anymore, and haven't been since I announced no more beta invites. I've gone back to Nursing now, and from what I hear from my friends who are still working there, I'm not sorry to be gone. Shit is going downhill form an employee standpoint.

I quit in I think March with like about half of the non-heroic achieves done, and just a few heroic bosses done. 90% certain it's going to take me 2 runs unless it's so easy now I can do them all in heroic. Have the totc10 mount, and I'm guessing the 25 one would have to be bought for some insane price if I wanted to do it tonight, so yeah fuck that lol.

Anyway cool, thanks for the info, will definitely be trying to get all the stuff for the icc10 wyrm knocked out before cata hits.

there isn't a "world event" per se, the intro cinematic is the Shattering. It's canon occurrence happens after you open WoW after installing the tiny patch today. Its just more epic this time because, its real, and all that shit happened this time. /squeee
