I don't remember them saying it was going to be an in-game cinematic at all, but fuck me sideways if the new login screen and intro cinematic aren't amazing. Best intro cinematic yet.

So, Hyjal or Vashj'ir first? I'm tempted to do Hyjal first since there's no wait to fly around on my 310% mount, versus having to clear most of Kelp forest for a 280% seahorse. Plus I found some pretty horrible bugs in Vashj'ir, at least 3 of which prevented further progress and I've got no idea if they fixed those bugs during beta.

On the other hand, Hyjal is going to be crowded as fuck, and there was 10x the pvp griefing going on in Hyjal than I saw in Vashj'ir. What to do...

Or just in general? I'm doing Vash'jir first to get the seahorse out of the way, since I'm not in a particular race to get any realm first stuff. The extra time spent getting the seahorse won't be much.

I'm talking about post-Dec 7, just trying to get my primary character in a good position to get ahead of the tidal wave of noobs ruining the questing experience. I guess I'm logging him out in the same place regardless of which starter zone I choose, was just polling BG for their strategies on day one of Cata.

I think you only need about 5 or 6 quests at the most to get the seahorse mount.

Tough decision though, both zones are pretty awesome. I'm thinking Hyjal since I did a bunch of quests there on beta but never finished the storyline, so I'll probably check that out first to see how it plays out.

I had a small plan to reverse my playtime/sleep pattern, so at 12am I'll logon and then quest/do shit til 10am and then sleep until 6pm, do some randoms, continue... would that work? haha

Or am I severely underestimating the amount of people there are in game. I know that with the exception of a handful I really honestly cannot remember anyone's names.

Since we need to visit instance portals, I'd say Vashj first. But Hyjal will be a 10x easier questing area imo.. It's more wide open and less streamlined (ex: don't need to kill 5 mobs in this ONE spot - the mobs are more spread out and more of them). Vashj bugs have been fixed afaik.

If it's like Durotar...only half of it. Well, the quest log would change a bunch I guess, but you do essentially the same things. Like instead of burning attack plans from the Kolkar to attack the Horde, you burn alliance attack plans...

The fastest leveling so far, is to discover BRC grind it out till 81(it was 82 but they nerfed the xp) and go quest. I would do Hyjal personally.

I'm able to log in alt in Exodar but none of my toons that were in IF can get on.
