My friend hit first cooking like 4 minutes after he got in. he was so pumped lol. I was nice and waited for my friend to get in, he was having relogging issues fighting the login servers, and by then we were smack dab in the thousand ppl march... while if i wasn't nice I woulda been ahead of the gang w/ others in my LS lol. As of this morning the highest level on my server is 84, and a few guildies are right behind. It's gonna be a close one

Now that we are almost 12 hours post cata launch, how are all the login and game servers? Anyone on proudmoore or area 52 having login queues?

Since cata has come out, I decided to pick up wow again.

Question is..... i'm only 71, and currently questing/grinding in northrend. Is that still the best spot for my level, or are there better ones out now?

You will hit 80 with about 2 zones/maps unexplored to go, but you will probably move on to cata zones by 78 and have only leveled through half of northrend...

You actually need to be 80 to go to cata zones, as you won't be able to get any quests.

Since I've had a full day to enjoy Cataclysm with breaks here and there, I'm gonna go ahead and throw my opinion of it so far out there.

This is my first time playing WoW during a new expansion, so I was thoroughly excited. Levels 80-81 went completely normal, played my Disc priest just like I always have without any problems whatsoever. Level 82 however.. completely changed everything.

By then I had replaced all of my gear from Wotlk, but my Flash Heal went from costing very little mana to about 2.1k per cast. So it was time to respec and grab some of the talents I skipped because I had found no use for them before Cataclysm.

It was like completely relearning my class, but I had a very general idea of what to do. When people said that a healer would have to be smart about their heals, they really weren't kidding. Using Flash Heal too much would result in my OOMing every pull, which was the case. However, I played around with a few ideas and got the hang of it. I now hardly ever go OOM, taking full advantage of Inner Focus and my Atonement/Evangelism talents. Another added bonus is that Prayer of Healing gives everyone the Divine Aegis effect regardless of it being a critical hit, which is also very nice. On average, my Prayer of Healing heals for about 6-7k. Factor in the Mastery for disc priests along with Power Word: Shield, it gives plenty of time for me to focus on regenerating mana through "Smite spam".

The expansion completely changed how I played Disc Priest, and this by far has been one of the best things for me.

Another thing I want to point out is how about it these new instances are. Vortex Pinnacle is pretty much my favorite instance atm. I can literally spam that all day simply because of how awesome it is. I also love how some pulls in certain instances require a bit of thinking, even though its not as extreme as many people thought it would be. Also, the new zones are amazing, and oddly enough the game has close to no bugs, at least none that I've seen.

All and all, this expansion has definitely delivered. Currently sitting at level 83 on my Priest.. planning on hitting 85 within the next 2 days at least. I'm in no rush, as I'm trying to enjoy the content.

I've had to spend most my time grinding out mining on my shammy(348 now was 20 a day ago) before I start questing the new zones. I did however get to do the new instances, they were fun.

I just finished up a similar task on my DK, herbalism from 0-425 in a little over a day, makes me want to smash my face against a wall. Haste buff is sweet though(so is having a source of herbs for alchemy).

Wondering if anyone else has had success in finding "mysterious camel statue"s for the Grey Riding Camel? There is little information about them on the web, and I'm just wondering if anyone knew what they looked like. I've been searching Uldum for about 2 hours and haven't found a single one, and I've finished the zone as well so no phasing possibilities.

I spammed my macro for it today as I did Uldum quests and had no luck. I'm going to come back tomorrow when I wake up and see if I can find one while there's less people on.

I'm pretty sure that I'm retarded, but I need to make sure. Is it impossible to fly to the Exodar and surrounding areas? I tried twice last night and both time I hit an invisible wall and got disconnected. When I logged back on, I was dead at a Darkshore graveyard. I had to soul res both times.

It just dawned on me now that it may be a zone that you can't fly in similar to the Blood Elf areas. Is that true?

Both areas are instanced, that's why you can't fly directly there. You may be able to fly once you're actually there, though.

Don't think you can fly into different world servers. Like from Eastern Kingdom to Kalimdor, ect..
