Random Cataclysm discussion

From MMO Champ;
Zul'aman and Zul'gurub are back!
Tons of changes indicate that Zul'aman and Zul'gurub are back as 5-man instances! I couldn't find anything about the Abyssal Maw dungeon mentioned briefly during Blizzcon for the moment, but Firelands seems there too.

and to top it off;
Mounts

* Amani Dragonhawk: New
* Armored Razzashi Raptor: New
* Beryl Fire Hawk: New
* Crimson Fire Hawk: New
* Flameward Hippogryph: New
* Mottled Drake: New
* Savage Raptor: New
* Swift Zulian Panther: New

Yay! new mounts to collect and with them being 5 mans it should be a nice change of pace from the originals

Didnt they announce that a while ago thought? I remember reading this somewhere.

I'm kinda glad since I loved both instance, but i hope they will clean a few pulls or something. I dont want 2 hours long instance in a random dungeon list (even if i would be down for 5man "raid")

hope they're not 1% drop rate from bosses.. done slabhide and altairus so many times and never seen it drop. let alone winning the roll for it.

the best part of this has been the bitching about the amani war bear, the mmo champ forums have been raging about not wanting them to be available to "wrath babies". we'll have to see how the new dragonhawk/cat/raptor mounts turn out but i hope its going to be a change from the current models.

A blue post states this, but haven't seen it show up in the files yet. Post says they'll look a bit different so the people who got the original ones will still look better or some shit.

its bs needing to pay like 2k for a maelstrom. I do find it highly amusing they are now adding a gem slot to the LW gear, but releasing it w/ patch 4.1 lawl

If you're talking about the caster shield and stuff it looks like they just slightly lowered the stats but added a socket and socket bonus, not sure if I'd call it a nerf

It's probably a nerf to the tank shield. Though you probably can get slightly more mastery out of it.

WoG and DG were overpowered, but shit, it was fun to play with. Nerf something else if you must, leave me WoG.

DG, I can see why though.

Shield wasn't nerfed much. You get a 40stats gem +15stam. It almosts make up for the lost stats. Just stick a str gem in it and you get back the loss (since 20str/20hit wil give you back 5 parry)

* Spells bound to a key now start to be cast when the button is pressed down by default, instead of waiting for the key to go up. This is an option that can be turned off in the Interface menu under Combat. Mouse clicking has not changed and operates on mouse click up.

That mount is pretty sexy. Bet you it's $45 at the blizzard store.

And adding epics to 5-mans was inevitable, but it's weird that they'd put them in so early. I had guessed they wouldn't have come until after this expansion's 'Ulduar' raid.

Also bring back Timed Runs so that babbies in crafted/pvp gear don't queue, get carried and win sexy troll mounts.
