I didn't see the point of the weekly thing at first, probably cause I don't do heroics, and a friend had mentioned to me that it's way easier on him since he no longer HAS to log on every single day for a daily... the days he is around more he can pop on and knock out 2+ at once. Good change. I for one hate doing heroics, and I might be more inclined to do them now since I'll be able to go on spurts.

There's nothing extra about it though. You're getting the exact amount you get if you login and do one heroic a day, every day. The only difference is that you can do this all in one sitting.

It will also encourage good RDF groups to stick together and requeue, so less total time spent waiting for 35-40 minute queues to pop, just requeue your tank if y'all had a good experience and are still under the VP cap.

I dont do my daily heroic anymore since I don't need the VP. But I think it's a good change. Because when I did do my daily heroics I'd get home from work / gym at 7pm, start raiding at 7:30, and do my daily heroic after raid at 11:30. Would have been nice to just be able to do a few more on the weekend or something during that time

Classes start up in a week for me, so this change is fantastic. Fuck logging in on class nights. Now i can just play on the weekend when homework/studying is done and keep up without being penalized. Dunno if that qualifies me as "casual".

Won't affect how I do things, I hardly ever do heroics. Kind of stopped when my old guild fizzled and now I log in, do some PvP or level an alt.

It gets rid of the daily chore aspect of heroics and allows people to get points in one or two sittings during the week. There are still plenty of daily chores to keep people logging on everyday. I wouldn't worry people having no reason to log on, especially those with alts.

What's the difference between a player logging on 1 day for 1hour, and on 1 day for 7 hours? I know many people that log on just to do their daily, then log off till raid days. This will be no different for them. They will log on one day now and do 2-7, then not be on the rest of the week unless to finish whats left of the 7 and to raid.

So, here's how it's going to work:

Hard cap on VP from heroics of 980 (twice what you can get currently).

70 VP each for first 7 heroics of the week (490 total)
140 VP each for first 7 new (troll) heroics of the week (980 total)

You can do any combination of them to reach 980, but you can't get more than that from heroics, period. There's also a hard cap of 1250 VP per week between heroics and raids combined.

It's essentially this (this is how it is likely programmed):

Each week you are allocated 7 "regular" tokens and 7 "troll" tokens (a hidden currency)
For each regular random heroic you run, you can redeem 1 regular token for 70 vp.
For each troll random heroic you run, you can redeem 1 regular token for 70 vp and 1 troll token for 70 vp.

At the end of the week you lose any unredeemed tokens and are allocated a fresh set of 7 each.

I'm actually certain it's not exactly like you said it, because one of the examples they used was you can run 7 regulars and then a few trolls to cap.

It's not going to change a thing for someone who still want something out of the game, but for a player who is stuck in a routine and doesnt know why he is playing anymore, thinking less about WoW is probably the first step to forget about it completely.
