Last night i had a dream...

Was running through East altep and watched a RDM die to 1000 Needles from a cactaur NM who uses no TP moves (Aptant NM)

I got off and kill it and it dropped 2, on of which the dead RDM wanted, i was going to give it to her (Was a hume F in full AF dual wielding Fluerets) but no one was around to raise >.>

so somehow i walked in the Outpost, switched to /SCH and was fleeing to the RDM when i woke up.

the random fail? the Aptant the RDM wanted was called "Aptant: Genrye"

I want to preface this rant with a two quick notes.

First: Yeah, yeah, quit gettin' mad at video games, my $12.95/mo, etc. Yes, it's a game. Yes, you're entitled to play it your way. But the sheer length of time I had to put up with Pami's shit while I was still playing without being able to say what I wanted to is staggering.

Second: I have nothing against Pami personally. I've talked to her on vent for quite some time while we were in the same shell. She was dealing with a number of real-life issues while she was playing, and I understand fully that sometimes they can be distracting.

With these things said, however, it is with an excessive amount of pleasure that I am calling Pami out on her astounding incompetence at every level of this game. The sheer lack of skill she exhibited while I still played would blow your fucking mind. The above back-and-forth isn't even a fraction of the things I've seen. Of course, like anyone similarly undeserving (though I hesitate to imagine a world with many people of her caliber of mediocrity, it's more then a touch disheartening) she's showered with items as though they were 100% drops by the game, and showered with gifts and opportunities by people in-game as though she were some sort of present-receiving reverse Santa.

Pami is the type of "woman" (a term I hesitate to use, given her frequent childlike behavior) to attach herself to whomever will benefit her the most. Over time, I've seen at least half a dozen people controlled by her e-dick-teasing, the most recent of which is Lazytaru. She claims he's one of the only people that "respects" her ingame, because he's one of the only people who doesn't call her on her bullshit.

On the rare few occasions I've had the pleasure of publicly calling her out on her outrageously emotional responses to perceived slights, or her inability to perform even basic functions of her jobs, or her frequent AFKing, late attendance, or early departures, or any of the dozens of other things she's done, she'd take our other, decidedly less strongly-willed officers into private channels and cry and sob, citing constant real-life drama or health issues as reasons why. Again, while I don't fault anyone for being distracted by medical complications or financial issues or family matters, at the same time, for the excuses to be unceasing, and for her to continually ignore my insistence that she take a hiatus from events to settle her problems, is completely uncalled for. It's one of the many reasons that led to my eventual vacation of my position as linkshell officer and the game as a whole.

I've long-since switched computers after my departure from FFXI, and so unfortunately have no screenshots anymore, but the simple fact of the above conversation having happened should be more then ample reason to take at least a portion of my claims as truth. Of the many hilariously poor decisions I've seen her make, I'll throw out a handful.

- Before being repeatedly hammered about it, refused to use a Sorcerer's Ring, based solely on the fact that "forcing yellow was too hard to do".

- Full-timing AF feet on PLD/NIN, despite owning Dusk.

- Supporting, and arguing for, the use of Hauteclaire nearly fulltime on PLD, and Enkidu's Harness on MNK.

- Failed to claim babies properly on JoJ multiple times in a row, leading to a wipe. Diaga is really hard guys.

- Has consistently fucked up something so simple as a 3-bard rotation, both as a Bard and as a party leader.

- Has parsed several thousand damage below exceedingly average SAMs (mine, for example, as it wasn't a primary job) on her MKris DRK during Kirin/Bahamut v2/etc.

- Has repeatedly failed PLing MMM parties. I can't even fathom how to screw that up.

- Not a specific occasion, but rather a generally bad choice; she is self-admittedly prone to being distracted whilst multitasking, and yet her primary jobs are RDM, WHM, and SCH.

Anyone even half-experienced with her particular brand of rage-inducing bullshittery I'm sure can vouch for these, and provide many, many more examples.

That I've been gone for over 6 months, and still harbor this much resentment for her consistent underperformance, is surprising even to me, but after being shown this stage-show of misinformation, I had to let it out.

Quit the game. You are immeasurably and irredeemably bad at it, and your continued presence is nothing short of an anathema. I wish I could hate your character to death enough times to delevel every job you have to 1. I wish I could hate-re-lock your advance jobs, that my loathing of your playstyle could rewrite time so you never got a Magicked Skull. I would be ecstatic if my focused distaste for your excuses and whining deleted your character straight off the server. Your character literally is a single item of vendor trash. I could make gil faster farming black tiger fangs then selling your intrinsic worth to EGS in return for in-game currency.

Fucking quit the game, Pami.

No not really. Any situation you have any atk buffs I'm pretty confident it beats shura, possibly without atk buffs. ACP, HQ shura, and usu are better but yeah it's not a bad body.

Not defending her, mainly cause I don't know the situation. But usually people like her get into those what I'll call "Opportunity Jobs" because they genuinely have the will, drive, and patience to get suckered into them. The persistent "Hey wanna level Xxx?" and thier agreement to do so in order to be included/helpful. Doesn't make em good at those jobs. It just generally means that when you play those annoying jobs like Blm, Brd, Rdm, Whm etc... You're going to find yourself in a lot of situations. Usually playing a job you probably don't care about because you had the job, you were asked to go, and don't really get a choice; either the alternative people have better options, or there are no alternative people at all.

Reminded that my LS (including a BLM who argues Jet Seraweels > Mahatma Slops using the usual arguments) laughed at me earlier tonight for saying that you should be blinking, or at least swapping something, for damn near every action.

Because inventory matters more than having proper gear for your job. Because enfeebling in elemental skill gear isn't gimp.

First of all, did I ever claim to be a good MNK? Never. I don't ever play my MNK and the only reason I got ACP body for it was for the salvage group. Second, I don't wear a spider torque, anybody who isn't a retard could check me and see that I don't. I might have back in the day but that was a long time ago. And as soon as I got dalmy I quickly bought Enfeebling Torque within a week so don't even try. Pretty sad when the only things you can make fun of me on either happened like 2 years ago or are left to pure luck and in no way involve any kind of skill. Stop trying to defend Pami just because you feel some stupid sense of pride in trying to justify a gimp. Who outright said they didn't want to level WHM sub for BRD because it was useless? Who says novia is a useless earring? Who thought singing skill had nothing to do with sticking BRD debuffs? Shut your mouth before I say any more.
