Honestly I thought it was pretty obvious that when I cast Drain on something with maximum HP and its HP mysteriously decreases that I in fact did damage. Bit of a leap of faith I know.

What spell is it(from other FF games) that deals the difference between your current and max hp? That would be a fun spell in FFXI.

There are a few: Pumpkin Head, Revenge, Minus Strike, Lifebreak and ???? (from 7) I think. The last one being an enemy skill you can learn. These are the only ones I know of.

Minus strike would be an interesting WS for sword or GS (if we get new ws's with lvl increase) maybe 100% = 100% of difference, 200% = 150% of difference, and 300% = 200% of difference

Oh and on the topic of drain. I never knew it could do that mostly because whenever i used bloody bolts they never drained extra hp as far as i knew from the chatlogs so i naturally assumed that if you couldn't drain extra hp from those then the spell wouldn't be different.

Yeah bloody bolts do damage for what they drain. BW and Sambas do not.

Bloody bolts dont do do damage above the hp you recieve, try them on wamoura with low HP (in Bhaflau) and then try them with capped hp, with low hp you do ~200 dmg per drain (and the hp bar moves allot), with capped hp you do 0 and the hp bar doesnt move

But the HP bar moves for the 10 damage the actual bolt does before drain!

That's odd, I could have sworn I did extra dmg from 0 drains. I'll test this later I guess.

If Blood Bolts don't do damage at full HP, it was patched. They always used to when I'd be soloing in Qufim.

Same feelings as Tsuko, unless they patched it I've always done full damage with 100%. I hope to God they didn't patch it.. it was the easiest way to take jobs that could use bloody bolts from 25>40~ in two afternoons solo.

Banning Pchan was not a bandwagon thing.

Pchan was my salvage ls leader for awhile and he is a very good player.
He never played anything like he talks on these forums.. He uses brd alot..
His gear setups are absolute perfection, his haste,tp, ws setups are flawless.


Theres no way any of the shit he says on these forums is anything other than an
attempt to get massive amounts of attention. I know this because ive played with
the dude. He is a real attention whore on forums.

Oddly enough, in game hes also very pleasant and quiet.

I 100% support this ban and i lol at the people who actually bothered arguing with him. Ha!
