I distinctly remember someone posting that he saw some massively underpriced hundred pieces in a JP's bazaar (like, the JP left a 0 off the end or something), bought them all, then later a GM came and told him he couldn't keep them.

Not sure if it's true or if the guy's just full of shit, but it's the sad thing about GMs in general that it's really believable that an NA would get told "oh well, sucks to be you" and a JP would get told "we'll make the son of a bitch return the currency if it's the last thing we do".

I have an old story I thought of today, but sadly no screenshots to accompany it. You hear lots of stories about people who start drama for being a gear whore, but I managed to inadvertently once do the exact opposite.

The backstory is thus: This one dude went AFK during a Dynamis - Xarcabard near the end when a PLD body dropped. A sackholder lotted on it but was unable to get it due to the AFK dude not passing in time. The AFK dude was fined 500 linkshell points for this. He actually stayed with the linkshell even though this put him at about -400 points. I wasn't at that Dynamis so I didn't know that this had happened (or I had heard about it in passing and promptly forgot).

Several weeks later we're in Dynamis - Beaucedine, right at the entrance. The dude who was AFK in Xarcabard (we'll call him Bob) was there. Bob, who was 75SCH (and played it at linkshell events), watched as one SCH body went to another 75SCH due to his negative points (which, remember, I didn't know about). A second SCH body dropped and my SCH was 71 at the time. Since no one else had bid on the first one I bid on the second. Bob sent me a tell saying he was 75 and he'd like it. I said in linkshell that I'd pass to Bob since my SCH was underlevelled. All hell broke loose.

The shellholder and sackholders started yelling that Bob couldn't have it because he was negative points. I made a joke saying Bob could have my points to pay for the body. The sackholders went even further nuts. I was like, wow, that's crazy, I can't equip the item, don't play SCH at events, and don't even really want it, but I can't pass it to Bob, who never really seemed to get much of anything. I talked to two people in tells saying how crazy all that was, then promptly forgot about the whole thing. Bob, by the way, ninja lotted the piece, dropped his shell, and warped out of there.

After a couple of days, the shellholder and sackholders started continuously yelling and bitching at me about being a huge drama starter and how I was always causing drama. I was like "Huh?". Then they told me about the SCH body, a piece I did not even want that they wanted to force on me. Apparently I was the ring-leader of the whole event and that I orchestrated all that drama to cause problems. Even months later when that shell broke I was still getting accused of being a huge drama whore because of that one single event. All because I wanted to pass an item to someone who could actually get some use out of it.

That's why you have a ls rule to make people bazaar glasses for 1g, lets you kick people out of the zone who have to go afk for RL reasons. Bob is a dick for doing that imo, should have just left the LS and found a new one. Leaders also sound the same from what I am reading there, so they both in the wrong.

The xarcabard shit aside, if it was only you and Bob on Sch body, someone with no points and someone without the 75, Read: It's rot, then if you decide you dont want to spend points on it then you dont spend points on it, and bob lots it rot.

I had something similar happen to me in Dynamis - Bastok over Duelists's Gloves (now known as drama gloves by many because of this incident).

Basically 3 people wanted these gloves. First guy got his pair. 2nd guy had lotted and d/cd before everyone could pass. (Iirc, they went to some random person that hadn't passed yet.) 3rd pair that had dropped was supposed to be mine.

The guy that had d/c'd (We'll call him Bob as well) started sending me death threats for "ninja lotting his pair". He thus "ninja lotted" me back. Sack holder then told Bob to pass many many times. Bob refused. Sack holder bought Bob's glass from his bazaar for 1g to kick him out of the zone. Bob then bought the sack holders glass in return, keeping him in the zone until the gloves could drop to him.

He didn't remember to drop party and was D2d. Gloves then went to me. Finally.
