It's hard to say that no biological characteristics play any role in human sexuality, my problem is that often times the research done on it reaches a lot with its interpretations. From my investigations i've found that there are a lot of correlations, but no real valid explanations for how homosexuality manifests in the real world. In other words, at times to me it feels like biologists are treating this esoteric form of sexuality without ever really looking if it fits with reality. So when trying to bring understanding about homosexuality, i find that biological research doesn't really help much.
But anyway, i am more interested in seeing your argument as you might use some research that i haven't seen before.
it would be wonderful if we could load a pregnant mother up with a whole whack of anti-male antigens and see what happens to the boy when it gets older
the thought is that anti-androgen/anti-male HLA antigen antibodies are generated by the mother and their neutralizing effect affects development of the infant
you are gay if you weren't breastfed because sucking on nipples is pretty manly
oh man, i am in trouble then, blarg
and then it rocks the child's world
see, now this was a proper read.
actually, scratch that, H-Y isn't on the HLA
You better make a good read, shiro, so these plebeians can see what this shit is all about.
i could be wrong, and i'm probably not going to use this research anyway so this is just a matter of interest, that we also differ in the belief that animal models may provide some degree of understanding of factors determining sexual preference
I do get the feeling that most gays don't really understand that the biological research on homosexuality is implicitly (well maybe not implicitly) pointing towards the fact that homosexuality occurs with the feminization of the brain, and since gays have historically resisted, to a lesser or greater extent, the argument that they are sexual inverts, i can't help but laugh a bit how they're letting the proverbial trojan horse back in.
ok, cool
like i said, the research that i saw is old so that is my biggest problem with it. the benefit for animal models is obviously that there are certain things you can do with animals that you cannot do with people. and obviously, the thing being examined needs to be homosexual behaviour, and i mean sex with the same gender and not drinking appletinis
this shit bothers me kuya:

i remember reading that and cringing when i first saw that. i've been trying to find this one ever since you started the thread
you will like probably find that article interesting, kuya, even if it has some major problems in it
