    Probably a stupid question...don't laugh at me

    So when I take a girl out to dinner, I'm expected to pay for her dinner. If I take her to the movies, I'm expected to pay for her ticket.

    What we're just meeting for coffee? Am I expected to pay for her coffee?

    It isnt a "supposed to" thing as the casual setting you're describing doesnt really scream "date" to me. But if you have to ask, why not pay.

    Oh, and follow this up by asking her what she is doing later and offer to take her out, too many trips to the coffee house will lead to friend zone.

    Thanks for this advice. I always end up in the friend zone. Trying my hardest not to let that happen again.
