WTB - Laptop

Anyone have a decent Laptop they are willing to part with?

I am *really* new to this, and really have no idea what to look for or anything. Whether it be a mac or a 'pc'... I build my desktop, so I am not computer-retarded, I just don't know much about laptops, heh.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Protip: It needs to be able to run at least 2 instances of FFXI and preferably Portal, Dragon Age, maybe WoW.

Looking to spend upwards of $1000. (Tax refund yaaaaa)

EDIT: I may be interested in a tablet, I think they are called? Where you write on the screen. There was one, I don't know what brand, where the laptop screen swiveled and came down, and basically formed a notebook.

Tablets are not built for playing games, you'll have a really hard time with that.

What are the top 3 cardinal important traits you need out of your laptop? These things need to effectively be non-negotiable, we can work from there to find something that fits budget and compromises on the rest of your wants.
