I've head Sociologist pointing out the level of hedonism portrayed by Jersey Shore as similar to that of Rome before the empire feel. I think they are more making a point than actually being serious. But the spread of hedonism in a powerful, affluent society like ours is typically an aspect of how societies fall. Again though, not a very serious comment

Also, MR2s? of all the bizarre uncommon cars to have more than one of lol. My brother had a used one for a while, not a bad car but not really a good car either.

First generation MR2s are very good auto-x and track cars. I think two of them are parts cars, one is for auto-x only and one is a daily driver (but they are all just sitting right now). They are cheap, reliable and fun if you are into 20+ year old cars. I'm not. When they are this old they need to be maintained well, and if you don't know what you are doing you could get a bad impression from them. They are light, have a decent power to weight ratio and handle superbly. They are also as cramped as an Apollo mission capsule.

Seaside doesn't really have more than a handful of Guidos at a time, least on the boardwalk/beach (I'm only 18 so I never went to night clubs, so that very well may be the case). There's more black families from New York wearing their Jeans and socks on the beach than Guidos.

A 30 minute train ride is completely different than living 5 minutes away.
