Or I guess it's simpler to say this. Yes I can read and understand things. I just didn't care to sit and watch cutscenes of people talking about things. I wanted to be doing things, not watching others. I read the cutscenes up until chapter 3, but after that, I just didn't care for the story at all.

As for now i'm giving it at 7 ( i know i'm just in chapter 9) but still.

Story is fine for now.

I fucking hate the characters, the only 2 i like are Vanille and Lightning, the rest annoys me to hell. (first time character bores me since FF8).

Like most people i hate that if Leader die, game over.

Also annoyed that the game starts near the end, like you can't change your party members till chapter 11 anhd all that stuff.

Also this is like the first FF that after 1-2h of playing it i wanna change games

story was okay, just felt like there could've been more there. I remember getting to the final chapter and thinking "I'm already at the end...?"

characters were pretty meh to me. sazh is probably one of the greatest FF characters in my mind. his va was amazing. snow and hope were lame to me.

the world seemed really small to me. I just didn't feel like I was going anywhere.

battle system was fun once I got the hang of it. also liked how eidolons had an important role in the game.

the equipment upgrading system I didn't care for. crystarium was kind of neat.

overall it wasn't really anything special to me but I'm glad I played it. It's not a omgmustplay game but I'd still recommend it. score-wise I give it a 6-7

oh one thing that I really really liked was having the characters talk to each other or babble about while you're running on the map. I know dragon age and mass effect does that but yeah. that type of stuff is awesome. really adds some personality to the game/characters

Very slow build up in terms of combat and character progression. If they could have condensed what chapters 1-10 did for combat mechanics into the first 2 chapters it would have been better, but they took too long to give the wheel to the player. Also a few peices of the soundtrack should be shot twice then burned to death.

I also believe that because they decided to go away with random battles, they were forced to make the levels deceivingly long to get a reasonable amount of combat time into the game in each area. Had they gone with the random battle system they could have cut the zone sizes down to 1/3 of what they were, thus diminishing a lot of the illusion of a linear game.

Would have been an 8/10 if they didn't always make the shift paradigm shift in a battle take a year to initiate compared to all the ones following it. Shit is annoying when farming.

And honestly, the game taking 20 hours to actually get anywhere makes it hard to recommend to people.

Game was okay, story, don't know. Read for a bit, didn't really interest me. Seemed boring. Hell, my be different if I actually paid attention but after reading what I did, I chose not to finish it.

What's the butthurt over? So I didn't enjoy something you did, quit crying about it lol You act as if posting my personal opinion and rating on a game, that doesn't matter in any shape or form, is going to come and rape your dreams at night.

Graphics - Amazing.
Battle - Meh. Fast pace is good but "meh" is how I feel about it.
Story - Not interesting to me, don't care for it.

While I agree with you and I knew what you were getting at, your not going to make everyone like the game. I also find it silly that someone can make an accurate rating on a game they didnt even try to play.

I think this game is a very one-sided experience compared to most of the others. It's one of those games which you will either love or hate, depending on what you are looking for - they emphasise some things in the game at the cost of a lot of others.

I don't care if other people don't like it because I can see why they can't, what irks me are when people either

a. complain about the story when admitting they don't understand it/skip cutscenes (which normally is an extreme minority but for some reason is not this time around <_<) or
b. try to use it as a basis to glorify FF12! Idc if you loved FF12 (I wouldn't say it's a bad game by any means and I can see why someone would love it), but without making TOO many sweeping statements, the majority of people who seem to hate 13 loved 12 (I guess they are polar opposites in most senses though).

I side with the game being very well done, I did like the story and how it built up to where it did. I sorta was let down when it did not go deeper into ending events. The ending got me mad with the *we saved the world: the end" and that was it lol

But getting back to his point, if he cant even watch the CS's it means its a game he does not like, weather or not its a good story, if you cant stand to even watch it, it sucks to you.
