Average AH SAM uses Shinsoku and has no idea what "6 hit" even means. But they will act like the TP Drain on Shinsoku is better than meriting Store TP.

It's getting to the point where I'm seeing a lot of absolutely terrible SAMs that still all somehow have Hagun. Even the shittiest of AH SAMs are all aware that Hagun is good and the weapon to have at 75 at this point, they just happen to fuck up every other slot.

This is true. I can't think of anybody who is leveling, say, RDM and goes "You know, I don't think I'll change my dynamis priorities to Duelist Chapeau and Tabard."

I've never purposely tried to be banned. Well, I guess if you count posing in GM Jail, and speed hacking almost everywhere I go, purposely then I suppose I have. But I never like sent a GM a tell with something that could get me banned.

I am not sure where you can draw the line between obviously trying to actively get better gear and not having it yet. Yes obviously he could and should have better gear by now but that is the player's fault, not the gear's. The gear he has is fine. He isn't. Except headlong. It is never fine.

i'm 99% certain that the reason people hate him(i don't hate him, i'm just on the bandwagon) is he used to post drops that either a) weren't worth a shit i.e. shura haidate or something like that and b) there simply wasn't even anything in the drop pool and it was just some shit where he was crying about it not dropping.

now, the reason this went on is because he fought back thinking stevenw's word is law. 'but dudes, it's the drop thread, i gotsta poast mah drawps!!11' and then proceeding to argue and whine about how people didn't like him or some shit.

thus here we are having a huge stevenw bandwagon of people that hate on him because people hated on him who hated on him because people hated on him. for his own reasons he keeps posting even though people can't stand him. this makes more and more people join the bandwagon, and he simply doesn't listen / thinks people are giving him a hard time.

if you weren't so oblivious to the obvious things around you i wouldn't have to explain this. his gear is bad by todays standards, and the only people left on this forum that are worth a shit have relics or very good gear that takes time and effort to get. not just some full ah samurai(literally all of his gear can be bought on the ah or is easily obtained).

Where have I been oblivious I am confused? It seems like you are just ranting about Steven for whatever reason to someone who completely agrees with you. I know how annoying he is, he used to be bearable and have a positive upbeat attitude that was receptive to advice and criticism. Now he just hates everyone and spews whiny bullshit everywhere.

But still how is his gear bad for someone who started the game a year or so ago? He started from scratch with no good friends or any idea on how to play the game well. I don't count people like Sath who have connections and know how this game works, as being examples of how much can be done in a year. I mean seriously he is farther along than I was a year in. It took me two years to get to 75, I had a lot of farming to do, and I just hated playing in groups because I didn't have the time and I preferred just playing with a friend. I don't see how it is so hard to except that not everyone is gonna have all this gear you think they should have 1 year in. Especially since none of you have started from zero 1 year ago. Just let off on the gear, its above average for a non endgame/salvage sam. Get over it.

I started the game AFTER he did, about a year ago, from scratch just like him, with no connections or understanding, because I was bored on spring break.

From this standpoint, I feel within my rights to judge him and get annoyed by him like everyone else. I couldn't care less about how (not) hot the drops he posts are or how bad his gear is, since drops are drops and until recently I respected that he worked hard and was earnest about making progress and seemed to listen. But it's become clear that he's a whiny bitch. The thing that did it for me was when he didn't ninja haidate out of the "kindness of his heart." That's just outrageous. I feel really stupid for rooting for him and trying to justify his behavior.

As for the quality of his gear, I don't really think "he's only been playing for a year" is an excuse. I'm a mage and not melee, but comparatively, my gear is light years beyond his. Maybe it's because when I want something I work hard until I get it without bitching. God help us all when he starts salvage.

you can't comprehend that the gear he has isn't good. what kind of quality gear does end game/salvage produce? good. what kind of quality does gear outside of that range have? bad/average. why can't you understand this? in retrospect you're saying something that is easy to get / achieve(ah gear / not doing end game...) is on par of something that is moderately difficult to get and takes a little time and coordination(hnm and salvage gear).

over half of his gear slots can be upgraded with at least 2-3 items.
