What is the drop rate of W.Legs? Some say 25%, but i don't believe that. Hate Kirin so much 2/18 our last few sky weeks.

His drop rate on Wlegs is more or less whenever he fucking wants to cough the shit up. I've seen 2xWlegs in one pool and then magically he coughs up nothing but a single crystal.

Yea man there's absolutely no way to quantify the drop rate on this, it's completely random.

I was being sarcastic but ok. <_< To be fair I've seen some shells complain about too many wlegs and No Togis while at the same time other shells get shafted with a mess of Nbodys.

Kirin is just a bitch like any other mob when it comes to the drops people really want.

Don't suppose you have proof? 25% * .8125 = 20.3% at no abj.. certainly doesn't fit with my experience. Yes, the outside gods are all 4 Abjs at even droprate with a ~25% chance at a second drop that's affected by TH.. what's to say Kirin doesn't just have two abj slots both effected by it?

As I stated, this is how I understand it. I think unequivocal proof would be hard to produce, and as such, I do not personally have any. My info came from a post by Aurik on these forums around 3 years ago. He cited someone who'd done a trial and posted results. I remember finding the post at the time (I think on KI?) and it looked solid, but I don't have the link now and didn't feel like hunting it down.

You might be right about Kirin operating differently and having 2 Abj slots each w/ a 25% chance of each item or "Blank". That would make a no Abj. Kirin a 6.25% chance and a double Abj. drop a 56.25% chance, which are low and high respectively from my experience.

All-in-all, I don't care much as I've had everything I need from sky for awhile now, but I wanted to try and dispel the myth of W.Legs being rare or something.

If you have a shell that can kill Kirin you really shouldn't have a problem getting W.Legs if you're determined enough. I set my sights on them for my new character and for a few weeks bought Byakko's/Genbu's Seals for cheap when I saw them and duo'd MG, SC, BB, Faust, Suzaku and Seiryu for the other two, which only takes half a day really assuming you don't have competition for pop items. The major bottleneck was organising the runs - even though I went 1/5 (I think?) overall it took a few weeks to get them all killed.

Moral of the story: getting W.Legs sucks mainly because Kirin is "tricky" to low-man (relative to most other NMs that drop good stuff) and is boring as fuck to kill if you don't have the manpower to zerg it every time.

T3s kill them even with meh gear, so one person kills the babies while the other focuses on MG. BLU uses Regurgitation and Feather Storm to kill adds, Maelstrom on the pull.

You can also pull the babies so their AI makes them not assist MG, making it possible to pull the babies to one side of the map and MG to another. Not sure on the details of this though, when I low-man MG I take care of killing MG, my friend handles the adds and pulling them.

It's doable RDM RDM if you chainspell on pull and have double refresh/good mp management, but the holding trick is more accessible if you have more average gear/players.
