I wasn't expecting to fight this so soon so I ditched some of my mdb gear temporarily for needed money. Getting 1-shotted by Citadel Buster wasn't fun.. >.>

Yeah especially as Elvaan. My pld would take like 600-750 CBs in gimp MDT gear when I did ultimas.

Are you sure? It's been a long time but I'm fairly certain I was taking a bit less than 1k @_@. Oh well if so.

Pretty sure the max damage without Day/Weather proc is 2088, meaning 50% MDT and +30 MDB will take you to around 700 damage.

I was taking around 1k from CB on Ultima and my MDT/MDB set was thrown together in about two days before the run so it was far from capped.
