I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

Concert is about 2 hours or so. You lose track of time since you're so caught up in the moment.

I went with slacks & dress shirt. Friend did a button up and slacks. Other friend first night didn't have time to change and wore denims and a Dalaran University t-shirt. So it is a mixed bag. First night at the LA concert, a guy cosplaying as Kefka was in the front row and even got caught up in the standing ovation after Dancing Mad and took a bow along with the orchestra. It was all in good fun.

Concert was yesterday. Was great. I went in jeans and a nice sweater, and even I felt overdressed. There were few people wearing slacks/shirt/suit. Some people went as WHM. Guy in front of me went as Cid Highwind (complete with pack of cigs attached to aviator glasses).

    I'm going Cactuar next year.

Just literally got home now (stayed in London overnight) - absolutely fantastic concert and we were in the jammy as fuck second row dead in the centre seats. Think there must have been a couple of XI players a row or so behind me cos they went nuts every time 11-related stuff appeared on the screens.

Loved the Zack with his buster sword outside - have great visions of him explaining that one away on the tube... couple of very posh ladies wandering by when we were all waiting to go in looked most baffled as they asked what on earth was going on in the hall that night when confronted with a mix of people dressed up, people dressed down, and people dressed as a white mage.

Was on the outside wing, but close to the stage, so my girlfriend and I had a pretty great view. All of it was great, and I thought it was excellent they finished with One Winged Angel. She thought Nobuo was the cutest thing she'd ever seen.
Some of the costumes was pretty perfect, and had one guy with a little Cactuar doll going around giving people high-fives. Definitely going to try and get tickets for next year.

The guy dressed as Zack was awesome, sword included. I loved Uematsu in white socks/sandals, like a boss. Maybe he does this every time, I don't know, but it was comical to me.

The concert was amazing and even more so considering how impressive the Royal Albert Hall is. I was really pleased they got to use that beautiful pipe organ with Dancing Mad.

Going to be buying next years tickets the second they got on sale.

I'd love to hear Dancing Mad on a real pipe organ. They didn't play Dancing Mad at the baltimore show a few years ago. We did get a sneak peak of some new FF14 stuff though, which was neat.

I'm kinda mad that I missed the Atlanta show not too long ago; didn't even know they were playing till after I'd missed it.

Website updated PA stating that Susan is coming, and doing the NA premiere of Eyes On Me!
I hope she also does Answers..

    They also listed some highlights:
    • FINAL FANTASY V: Dear Friends
    • FINAL FANTASY IX: Vamo' alla Flamenco
    • FINAL FANTASY X: Zanarkand
    • FINAL FANTASY VI: Opera "Maria and Draco"
    • FINAL FANTASY VIII: The Man With The Machine Gun
    • FINAL FANTASY XIII: Blinded By Light
    • FINAL FANTASY VII: Aerith's Theme

Aerith's Theme makes the trip to PA worth it alone for me.
Also it's rare to see Opera in this tour isnt it? I hope that will be awesome.

How many pieces are typically played?
This is only a small selection, right?

They played 15ish when I went a couple years ago. Those specific songs are all common. They also played 2-3 newly-written songs for FFXIV when we went.

One-winged angel will be the encore as usual. And everybody, predictably, will scream like little girls. But it's ok, because hearing FF music from a live orchestra is just Fucking Awesome.

15 or so is a good number of songs that they play, concert usually runs 2 hours or so.

The Opera and Dear Friends/Vamo are somewhat less played, simply because they require specific instruments/singers. Based on that list they might not play Answers, there's nothing on the list that requires a choir. Anything non-choir or non-specific instrument is almost always played.

And even without the choir, OWA is going to be the encore, they're just going to make you sing it. If Susan is there you can expect Melodies of Life and Suteki Da Ne (In English, ehhh lyrics, good melody.) if a choir is there Distant Worlds and Answers are usually added.

Looking forward to how her Eyes on Me cover sounds, post a review after the event!

Uguu.. thats what it's kind of shaping up to be.. I didnt think about a choir. Pleasepleaschoir. Alot of good songs can be done.
Melodies of Life wouldnt be horrible to hear though.

I would kill to hear Aerith and Answers in one go. Everything else would be just awesome sauce on top.

They normally have a choir... I doubt they won't have one.

That was my favorite part of the Chicago show. They played the pipe organ during the first show but not the second so I was glad I was there for both shows.

When they were in NY they had a choir the first day, but not the second day. Second day had the guitarist/opera singers though.

Briefly thought about it, but I'll hold out until I have more time to plan. I do wanna go see it again. I used the ask the conductor button on the site to ask if they'll ever come to Ohio lol Hopefully so!
