well , i see no point in planting claymores if almost every player will evade it , by using ninja or marathon :/

Marathon has nothing to do with evading claymores. They were fixing the lightweight avoiding claymores iirc, but the only 2 perks that avoid claymores are hacker and Ninja. Not like claymores weren't easy enough to avoid anyways. I for one wish we could have more special grenades in MW2, most underused/useful thing in the game. Again I play search 90% of the time so Ninja will be m main perk, just for silent footsteps, let alone the avoidance of claymores and the cameras etc.

Also to the person who asked about the blackbird, CoD wiki says that it provides real time updates (I assume akin to auto UAV in private matches), as well as the orientation, and can't be shot down because of it travelling at Mach 3 and constantly moving or something.

ninja too , standard perk = move silently.

ninja is by far the best perk , and imo it's too powerful

I think he's talking about in Black ops, not MW2. IMO, sitrep>HBS, hell I just use ninja and can still sound whore w/o sitrep.

When I used sitrep pro I'm pretty sure I couldn't hear people with ninja. That or it was just impossible hearing ninja'd footsteps when I heard so many loud footsteps. It also didn't cancel out your footsteps like ninja would, I could still hear myself fall from small ledges/walk. And I'm also pretty sure it didn't extend the possible range of hearing footsteps(I believe there's a cutoff because either the footsteps were REALLY LOUD and really close or you couldn't hear anything because they were too far away and the game didn't let you).

I'll gladly be wrong but does anyone have any experience disproving any of this? After boosting so long for it I was kind of disappointed with the perk.

While this is true, it should probably be said that this only applies to your ears; your footsteps sound completely normal to everyone else.

Not the crunching noise on a damaging fall. I said when you jump down from a railing, skip a step while running down, climbing through a window, etc etc.

It doesn't sound the same as ninja does to me, I can hear myself walking and changing surfaces I'm walking on while sitrep is on, but I can't hear it whilst I have ninja on.

Black Ops blog only says sensors and camera spikes, I'll be skeptical about claymores for now.
